I can argue that this song doesn't only have to refer to God. I mean.. sure, I'm Christian, but I don't refer this song to God. I refer this song as a "two-faced" song. I think this song is about the two sides of himself, and how he's losing himself, and how he needs to get himself back. He needs to have life to save him from falling, he needs to save himself from falling. This could be taken religously or not. I don't take it that way, but, this is music. Everyone has a different perspective.

Well, Red is a Christian band. It would make sense if their music was about God. And, to be honest, a song doesn't have to actually refer to God to have God in it. I see God in all sorts of music, even in totally secular music. I personally see God plastered all over this song, but if you dont, then sorry, youre missing out. Plus, I wouldn't ask someone I love, or whoever you think its about, to breathe their life into me. They'd be losing a bit of theirs. Only God can breathe life into someone.

The percussion is mostly monorhythmic, I personally know 5 people that can play more intricate guitar, most of the time the bassist is inaudible or doing the same thing as guitarist, and the vocalist, while pretty good, has a very generic voice. The emotion in the lyrics and the music don't match up. And the lyrics themselves lack poetic quality, while the sylables are awkwardly aranged. Red is just another band that compensates for limited technical ability and creativity with catchyness.
