  • SEXY!!! :D Apache ... true masterpiece.

  • Those two members grew into very HOT and SEXY DADDY types! Woof!

  • 何故、ピーター・フラプトンが???

    さすがアメリカの芸能界は奥が深過ぎる。

  • I agree! Good old fashioned Rock & Roll! LOVED THEM, still do! I loved this song the first time I heard it, I was just a kid! LOVED IT!

Must have been the Cherokee in me!

  • At 0:40, I always wondered how they made that sound effect in the song. Along with the Beach Boys, J & D, and various others, the Ventures are the great masters of the "surfing" sound of the 1960s.

  • I really enjoy this video watching rock superstar Peter Frampton having a blast playing with the Ventures. He probably idolized them when he was a kid learning to play the guitar.

  • me gusta mas the shadows

  • Poor version

  • Just a pale shadow of The Shadows Apache,,,, They should stick to their other tunes..............

  • What's great about this is that Frampton is really enjoying playing this song with these legends. He knows what's good.

  • DAMN you should listen to this when youre stoned and high! weee

  • @Chadsxxy stoned and high.......as in stoned on pot and high on heroin?.......or as in the old days....stoned on booze and high on pot....????? think I heard Dean Martin say he was stoned, with a bottle of booze in his hand in Rio Bravo.

  • I want that jazzmaster . Love the block inlays

  • They seem so happy and respectful of each other, makes the video entertaining even if it had no sound.

  • Frampton is about to have the big o,lol

  • Was Peter Frampton a total fanboy, or was Peter Frampton a total fanboy? I thought he was going to ask Nokie Edwards for an autograph while he was playing.

  • Ali Boulala!

  • I don't get it, how come 4 guitars can't come close to Marvin's solo, not even close!

  • @TheFiredragon52 Dont the an azzhole, they are good xD

  • @zuzukydstupid keyboard xD i meant "dont be"

  • @TheFiredragon52 You're right!

  • Man I miss the old days of Rock & Roll instrumentals!

  • great video if you catch the 50 year anniversary of strat. google it.>! this song by the master....................wow..

  • best!!!!!i like it!!!! Malaysia Fanz !!!!!!

  • Esta é a melhor gravação desta música..

    Simplesmente maravilhosa.

    Parabéns!

  • Peter & Bob look like brothers here

  • You will be addicted by the music of this group. Great!!!!!

  • THAT IS PETER FRAMPTON!

  • It is PETER FRAMPTON. watch?v=7vCySi4umzs

  • @dinglefritzer Must have been Frampton playing with them in the 80's

  • Yes, that sure looks like Peter Frampton on guitar....when he still had hair.

  • @museack Pretty freaky, looks like Peter Frampton. A one night stand and a holely condom I believe. In the city I live in western Canada there was kid who played guitar on the sidewalk looked a lot like Pete too. He was playin' his own stuff a fews years ago, not sure where he is now. Another one night stand with a holely condom?

  • Deuses da guitar nao tem pra ninguem

  • Wakeup no that is not peter frampton.

  • is that Peter f'king Frampton

  • @Wakeuptobeautifulday Lol yea it is. It's amazing how old he looks now. He was better lookin back then. Saw him in concert like 2 years ago and it was cool. He is performing at MSG soon. I been a fan since I was a kid.

  • Is that Peter Frampton on guitar?

  • @acdeucee i was just wondering that too

  • @acdeucee Looks like him to me!!

  • ventures>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>shadows. There is no doubt Ventures is better.

  • tipis

  • imagine if you went back in time to when the apaches were still in titps in oklahoma and you played this song for them. i wonder how honored they'd feel for having a song named after them LOL

  • Shadows did it better

  • timeless

  • 0:55 he made me smile :)

  • I love the smiles on every ones faces...Great...Thanks...

  • It's songs like these that make me proud to own a fender strat!!!

  • The Ventures kick but no matter who they play. Nothing can touch this group.. never was more eloquence epressed on guitar and drums without words. LeGENDS

  • @MichaelDinaswirled you are so right....the Ventures will never be duplicated

  • It's great music so who cares who did it first. Just shut up and listen....

  • Try Jurgen Ingmann-

  • Try Jurgen Ingmann-fool...

  • It was written by Jerry Lordan, for Bert Weedon. The Shads took it and made it theirs, but Bert Weedon still insists it's his number

  • I'm like @Supershammy100, heard the Ventures back in high school and bought the "play with the Ventures" LP. I'm now 60 and still love the sound. I have in my collection, and 1965 Mosrite II Ventures guitar that I picked up around 1970. Cant imagine parting with it ever.

  • The Ventures didn´t create, nor was the first to play it. THEY ONLY WERE THE BEST TO PLAY IT. By the way, there is a versión of the original Sahdows version, from 1960, at the TUBE. i IGNORE WHY TUBE DIND´T LET YOU UPLOAD IT.

It seems as if the indians were running after them. They wanted to finish the play in one minute. THIS ONE IS THE VERY BEST VERSION EVER FOR APACHE; THE VENTURES.PERIOD

  • Isnt this wrote by Link Wray? he is the ultimate instumental rock king .

  • @tumiboros Nope. Written by Jerry Lordan.

  • Looks like Peter Frampton sitting in,......

  • @amprestigephoto And having a blast!

  • @yekshemesh4alig ......how true....this is effortless genius.......Ventures forever

  • this song tells me more than any song with lyrics nowadays

  • OMG, they are so awesome, even after all these years. I grew up listening to 'Walk Don't Run,' 'Pipeline', 'Wipeout' and countless other great numbers played by the Ventures and the Shadows as well. These numbers will be evergreen classics. I love them all. :))

  • Wow! The guitarist with the orange Fenderstrat looks like Peter Frampton! Is it Peter Frampton?

  • roger waters? lol

  • Nice mustache!

  • ali boulala?

  • Sorry Supershammy....this song was written by Jerry Lordon (who also wrote Atlantis and Wonderful Land). Although the Shadows recorded it first, it was Jorgen Ingman from Denmark who had the biggest hit and the Shadows resented him recording it before their version had a chance to climb the charts. Anyone with an ear for guitar music would say Jorgens was the better version by far. Anyway, I like this version too. Lordon didn't care who recorded it as long as he got the royalty checks :)

  • Peter Frampton is the one with the orange guitar - waaaay cool to see him from that time!!!

  • You young guys have to demand more quality in music. I'm from this (60's) era but there are some great bands out there today. The problem is, the crap music gets all the hype because its all about marketing and money. Today people are so into the personalities they don't even hear the music. That's why shits like Justin faggie Beiber and Lady Gag Gag are getting so rich.

  • age shall not weary them,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • its ok i guess but it has nothing on the original

  • That's Peter Frampton with them correct ?

  • Love the Shadows, but the Venture's version is superior. Sorry chap.

  • God Bless Fender!

  • Is this video still available? If so, where please? This is an awesome set with an all-star cast and the best Ventures lineup ever. My favorite Ventures tune is "Slaughter on 10th Avenue."

  • Simple&Perfect = VeNTures :)

  • was the lead guitar player a country music guitarist too?

  • the shadows ftw

  • These guys can still lick those guitars pretty awesome.

  • Yeah, Frampton looks like he just won the lottery.

  • Nokie is such a badass.

  • only a true man would use that hat.

  • They are still playing? the originals?

  • This is one off the charts instrumental. It doesn't get much better than this. These musicians are superb.

  • The bloody Ventures did NOT create this song / tune - this is an "original" by Hank Marvin and the "Shadoiws"!!!

  • @Supershammy100 I've tried to upload the Shadows' version but U tube do not allow me due the copy right thing.

  • @DayFever It is on here I have just been listening to it. if you send me an email I will be glad to send you the link. i will save it now. Gary

  • @Supershammy100 Surprise: Hank Marvin and the Shadows' version was a cover as well! The original was by Jurgen Ingemann.

  • @Supershammy100 dude who cares who created the song, i mean Surely I give Hank Marvin and the Shadows, but u gotta understand that great music like this has to be expanded for the sake of us teens

  • @Supershammy100 Not as good as the Shadows, but, I think, a very good cover.

  • @Supershammy100

Jerry Lordan Write this melody my friend not the shadows

  • @Supershammy100 Seriously, what is it with you guys across the pond? Every time i read these comments, It's some Shadows super fan with a stick up his ass about the Ventures! I like both bands, but the ventures are superior, hence their popularity :) P.S. I'm assuming you are from Britain because you used the word "bloody".

  • @Supershammy100 , Hey! dude why do have to be so negative in all of your shitty reply? This tune does not deserve your attention. Shoo, go away.

  • @DayFever Cause he's an asshole. The Ventures frigging rock

  • @DayFever hahaha Great!! I love your comment!! Good on ya.. :o))

  • @Supershammy100

not correct ...Jorgen Ingmann is the man who done it first

  • @man00 Nope. Ingmans version was after the Shadows did it. The Shadows version wasnt distributed in the US, Ingmans version was the US hit version.

  • @Supershammy100 This song is NOT an original by The Shadows. It was written by Jerry Lordan.

  • @Supershammy100 Who cares?

  • @Supershammy100 who said they did create this song ? :/

  • @Supershammy100 Did anyone say the Ventures "created" this song? and just for the record nor did Hank Marvin it was written by Jerry Lordan and recorded originally by Bert Weedon. The Ventures were the American take on an instrumental guitar band and as you may know had many of there own hits some of which have appeared in the Shadows shows.

Any way they are all fine musicians and its nice to hear other peoples versions of songs.

  • @Supershammy100 most of the tunes the ventures play are not originals look up any of there songs on you tube and you will finde mostly covers of other surf songs. so quit youer trolling

  • Great music...!!!

  • so great sir mix a lot had to rip it off

  • WOW - FRAMTON ON GEE-TAR & JOE NAMATH ON DRUMS. HOW COOL IS THAT? BUT I KIND OF LIKED THE OTHER GUY (WHAT'S HIS FACE) BUT I GUESS JOE'S O.K. THOUGH.

  • Вот это мелодия!!!!!!!!!!!!Супер! 6 лет искал!

  • when you play like Nokie you ware what you want

  • What year was this video done in?

  • you should see Nokie Edwards" With "Chicchi shes good =)

  • Wheres Eddie van hagar when you need him.... why do i hear birds???

  • LOVE,LOVE...

  • Dionysosable, You are wrong about Rock.

Rock & Roll was invented in the USA, 1st Rock concert was in Cleveland, Ohio in 1953. British Rock & Roll was nowhere compared to the US during the 1950's. And the US Ventures came before the UK Shadows. British pop music? I am not going to argue about that.

  • If you think they are lame for their old age, check out their original recordings, start with "Wipe Out"

  • no coment ! Typical American Demoliton of a great tune!! The true rock and pop master are the British Shadows and the english musicians in my opinion in general. I love America for Jazz where they are without no equal , but not Rock and pop , where must of the brilliant bands and composers are English sorry to say it more class.

  • @Dionysosable .The Shadows, you mean Cliff Richards back up band. The Shadow's are in the minor leagues compared to the Ventures. You Brit's have such a bad self esteem. It's o.k. your second best. You had the British invasion, I'll give you tha,t but thats it.

  • do the hustle

  • What year was this I wonder?

  • which one is frampton?

  • @Teutonic1250 Peter is wearing the pink shirt

  • @fijiboy68 well, beleive it or not, thats my friends uncle. i live about 20 minutes away from him, and i take guitar lessons from pete's brother in law.

  • @Teutonic1250 That's awesome. I grew up like most 70's kids listening to Frampton.

  • Świetny zespół !! greeting from Poland!!

  • Looks like the drummer is really tierd... they probably did "Wipeout" before this...

  • how come lebowski sits down? are his legs broken?

  • They are the saviours.

  • pure talent

  • who was the original, the shadows or ventures that did this music?

  • @Live4JC4Given The original was released by The Shadows in Britain in 1960. The hit version in the U.S. was by Jorgen Ingmann in 1961. The Ventures put it on an album sometime after that. Don't think they released it as a single.

  • Love "Apache" by the Ventures! Love Sonny James singing it, too! Great song!

  • More reverb!!

  • that's what called a band..... 0 dislike.... that's a real success!

  • Damned, that 2nd chord is wrong! ( got to be...D - not D/minor). Apaches falling off their saddles!

  • Frampton's face at 1:52 is priceless

  • i love nokie

  • Hey__ Nokie stoled Richard Petty's hat

  • I can't decide who is having more fun. Bob Bogle getting to play with Peter Frampton, or Peter Frampton getting to play with the Ventures. I know that Frampton considered himself a guitar player first. This video belongs in the Smithsonian.

  • Hey frankie, What planet are you from??? That's a great hat.

  • wtf al pacinio on the drums!!!

  • There comes a clip that just hits you and you can not get enough and you play it over and over again this is such a clip.

  • FAVORITE!! JUST SWEET MAN!!

  • Bob Bogle was such a sport. His guitar work (walk dont run) put the Ventures on radar to begin with. Got demoted to bass player in favor of Nokie & never resented it.

  • They're written some of the most popular songs in Japanese pop music history - Ginza Light, Kyoto Bojo, Ami No Midosuji, to name a few (with Japanese lyrics, you can find these songs in many karaoke bars throughout Asia). They've easily composed more than 100 originals - do a search for the Ventures discography on a site called Sandcastle VI. I think there's a list there of all the Ventures originals. (by the way, the Shadow's own "Apache" is a cover of Bert Weedon's unreleased version)

  • @emerpus01 Ok but I meant The Ventures stuff that we know I have just looked at their greatest hits and as far as I can see they are all covers.Apache was given directly to the Shadows by the composer Jerry lorden when he was supporting them on a concert, He played it to them on a ukulele. All of The Shadows 8 no 1's were original. I will have a look at the site you mention

  • @fincaman2 You asked if the Ventures ever did anything but covers, so that's what I was addressing. I'm definitely not getting into any Shads vs Ventures debate here because both bands are great and I don't have to put one down to praise the other.

  • Lets not forget the Sugarhill Gang also borrowed part of this song in there version of Apache

  • one word for this song... BADASS!!!

  • I dig how Peter Frampton is rockin' the Hank Marvin Model Strat; A touch of class IMO.

  • VERY NICE************

  • these guys dont play live, they jam live.

  • This might've been the first song the Pixies played together.

  • Tais olla pojan ,tähtihetkiä..?

  • riding out to the badlands...

  • when was this?

  • de la c.s.m....

  • Always I hear it I feel like rinding a horse over the western plains with "Toro".

  • This is why I am so glad I got autographs from the ventures..They are absolutely sick on guitar

  • They're the true guitar heros... ;-)

  • Burt Weedon actually recorded it before the Shadows!! But Hank is the ONLY guitarist who can play this to perfection

  • This is a 'Shadows' tune.

  • isnt this a shadows song?

  • @dentpopcan ya but they did it way freakin better...

  • @dentpopcan A guy named Jorgen Ingmann had the hit with this. #2 in 1961!

  • @68enxy NO The Shadows were at no1 for 5 weeks in 1960 all the rest are just copies

  • @fincaman2 How interesting, My Joel Whitburns Billboard top singles book has no mention of the Shadow's on the national charts.

  • @68enxy There are other countries than America, The Shadows had 69 chart entries in all, 29 top 10 entries and 7 no 1 singles.

  • @68enxy Jorgen Ingmann was the originator of this song ,noboby better !!!!!

  • @fordman4444 the shadows ?

  • Comment removed

  • @fordman4444 Lets put the facts right, it was originally recorded by Burt Weedon, re-composed by Jerry Lordan and made famous by The Shadows in 1960. Ingmann's Apache was recorded a year later. Wiki it up.

  • @erique82 The Shadows released it first. Do The Ventures ever do anything but covers ?

  • @fincaman2 Yes. Yes they do.

  • @emerpus01 Can you tell me which one

  • @fordman4444

You are so right he also the biggest hit with it to. I agree with you.

  • @fordman4444 No he wasn't. It was written by Jerry Lordan for the Shadows.

  • this is why i have over 150 different ventures albums on vinyl,,,,they are really great!

  • pareciera q estoy en el lejano oeste
