I enjoy the speed of air travel. Where else can you go 800kph? I like airports...the designs, the function of them, and watching the people there. I also like airplanes. I like the smell of them. The galleys are cool, and the little bathrooms are interesting.
As a pilot, I enjoy the freedom that flying gives. I used to fly in Alaska, and I found it very therapeutic, psychologically speaking. If the weather is good, it is very peaceful.
Sorry to disappoint you, but some just like a short travel time. An 18 hour drive might be reduced to a 2 hr flight, for example. That gives more time at my destination, rather than time spent just getting there.
What a coincidence? This was upload 6 years exactly after the 9/11 attack.

Dear All,
I have some curious questions about psychology and sociology:
*Why do we enjoy flying?
*Why do we love air travel?
*How does flying related to lifestyle in USA? (I am from Hong Kong and I do not know too much about US culture)
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

Hi applesweeter,

I think most people just love to travel.
