More than that though, you only need to look at youtube to see lots of examples. Or watch the film "My Life As A Turkey" on the PBS website. Even some predators become friends with prey animals, though this is less common.

We think we're the only ones capable of interspecies friendships but it happens in pretty much every animal kingdom, all the time. Some animals even raise other animals of other species. It has nothing to do with humans. (Again, that is human-centric thinking.)

There are a large scale of animals that are dependant on other animals, looking att alot of african animals you can see that birds and mammals coop together with certin issues.

@SakakiDash Luckily we don't have to depend on animals to self-report on message boards. We can observe them in nature. Even so, there are thousands of recorded videos of such friendships on YouTube. I would share some but YouTube won't let us share links here. I have a whole facebook page of inter-species friendships though and if you go to my youtube page, you'll see the ones in my animal family. I have a cockatoo who has raised four cats but who also loves other animals, all on his own.
