Why would you take the spellblade and offhand over the staff? Stats are better on the staff, not by much, but they are, even with enchants, it doesn't add up.

@SpeccMe Well if you look at it that way then gear matters.. I have seen lvl 80 shaman win lvl 85 shaman in a duel.. (Was it the gear or the spec that matters) no... it was the because the lvl 85 have been half afk all the time when he was farming his Bloody gear and have no skill or no exp at all but the other knew all his tricks and what to do if he dose this or how to avoid the burst and such stuff... So i thing that skill is a huge part of pvp or bigger then gems / glyphs tbh..

shatter barrier is a great skill for mages in pvp the fact u said it is unreliable is bs if ur being trained it activates and freezes them so u cn get away its a lot better than an improved counterspell which just tells me ur a noob as if u catch them in cast there is no need for the improved counterspell as it will lock them out of the spell for longer than the improved counterpspell.

u go for ice lance glyph fml u should be using frostbolts more thn ice lances. cone of cold just fml l2p

and frostbolt is way more important for a mage than ice lance.

if u ice lance spam as a mage ur one dumb fuck whos missing out on tuns of damage !!!!!! only times to use ice lance is when ur kiting tht is it or occasionally to use ur FOF proc which tends to get for ur deep freeze as it.

People that say mages are easy to play are wrong, they are no easier than most other classes, in fact these days pretty much all classes have a similar skill cap. If you don't believe that i suggest you actually try playing a mage to and above 2k rating. However, I really don't feel these videos are very informative. Also a lot of your gemming/reforging/glyph decisions are just wrong. I really dislike your videos because your aim is to teach new frost mages, but your teaching the wrong things.

Gotta love all the mage hate. I recently got mine to 85 and am now gearing up for pvp. Surprisingly, its not as faceroll as everyone says it is. Pretty much any ranged class, plus DKs rape my face. Not to mention, if you aren't frozen, I can't do ANY damage to you. I am sure, once I get better gear, my damage and survivability will go up, but right now its shitty outside of a 5 sec window when I have you deepfrozen.

I, and all the other new frost mages appreciate these videos.

@Elzair11 With improved counterspell you can blanket silence them.. so they can't even use instant casts for 4 seconds.. Say you're nearly taking down a resto druid's partner.. Blanket counterspell and he can't rejuv/swiftmend, it helps secure kills

not hard to "talent/glyph/gem/enchant" and that stuff.... and sometimes it is just what people want... nothing is really the best or must have but some of there is out standing from others and ofc people will take those.. but I thing tacts and skills is more needed then those things when it comes to PvP if you want to do max dps in raids then yeah talents gems and that metter BIG time but it is not that MUST have to copy one or another... I thing that skills and tips/tricks is more important :S
