Ironically, I just got glasses. And to say the truth, when I had the examination last week, I was nervous. Now I can say the my glasses almost create two of me.

The first(without the glasses on): Stubborn, childish, young, reckless, whiny, 13(my actual age), immature.

The Second(with the glasses): Quiet, calm, logical, 14-15, older, wiser, mature.

I just hope very few will ever see me with the glasses, but I have to wear them for reading. So 95% of my time.

@Zantillia I might be wrong, but I don't think not wearing glasses can harm your vision. Just the act of wearing them does not improve your vision at all. I mean, yes, when you look through them everything is more visible, (assuming these are glasses of a prescription made to your need) but they don't actually correct anything -permanently-.

Strangely enough, my glasses are too strong and make everything I see through them wider than what they actually are. 9v9 That's why I try not to wear them when I draw since proportions get distorted, but then I can't see the pencil markings very well and I have to use them to check my line art. It's rather annoying since my eyesight is so bad. XD

I just got my glasses last year and my doctor told me to wear them all the time, but I only wear them when I have trouble taking notes on the board in class. The only reason I don't wear my glasses all the time is I don't want to see the ugly people at my school. I a horrible person, but that's how I am. :l

Well, if you don't wear your glasses, you're only seeing the blurred versions of them that you're satisfied with, fake versions of them. Your eye doctor helped you to get something o fix your vision not only so that you could see clearly, but so that you can see others for what they really look like. You may not accept their appearances, but at least you'll be seeing their "genuine" selves, not their "artificial" ones.

@HanakoFujita If you are not comfortable wearing glasses, then I think you shouldn't have to. I have bad eyesight, but not bad enough that I MUST wear glasses, so I don't. However, if your eyesight gets worse over time, I think you should wear them. Sometimes not wearing glasses when you have bad sight can make your eyes even worse, and no one wants that.

I think that guy is just telling Gumi what she sees is not him. The right eye is to represent the "eye" that gumi used to see him. The left eye, which is covered, hides the true nature of the guy. Then the guy ask gumi to touch his chest see clearer the real him, "if the crack in my heart is blurry but visible".

I have a small question - is it possible that "正しく僕を愛せるように" should be translated as "So you can properly love me" instead of "So that I can properly love myself"? Having the girl as the subject of that sentence makes more sense to me, because of what he says in the next few lines about her not seeing his true identity 'with those worn out glasses'.
