No, the Plus/4 also has a plugin SID card which were brought out when the machine was in use.

This was created only with the SID card. Aside from that its on a stock +4. There is a teaser demo availble on the xeo3 web site it you want to see it run.

If you look on the right-hand side of the screen at the bottom, you'll notice an energy bar. You'll also notice that bar gets shorter when the ship gets hit.
