Part 1: AVH-P3300 BT - 2011 Pioneer DVD Head Unit

I got this unit installed 2 days ago, everything is great. But to be honest i'm shocked that this unit shows the album art only when using ipod/iphone :S I really didn't know about this before, because other units such as kenwood or jvd show the album art even when files are played from flash drive or CD/DVD

Just got this unit installed with 2 Rockford amps and infinity kappa components and it rocks. Also kicked my evo 4g to the curb for the iPhone 4s and the control is amazing. Now I have a phone that works as advertised. Not almost works as advertised. And this is from Someone who didn't want to change over.

I need to replace my receiver, and was looking at this one. Will it actually play streamed audio from your Droid over Bluetooth? I had the P3200BT and it ONLY did phone audio. Pissed me off royally... I had to hook an audio cable between the phone & unit to play Pandora audio. Oh, and I will NEVER own an iPhone, so I all those features don't matter...

Nice video, so yeah plugged in my Ipod video that i haven't used for months since the wheel broke, and with this head unit i can use it again! so im very happy about this. quick question tho, so you cant watch videos from your ipod with the regular i pod cord, right? whats the other cable you can use to watch it? thx.

go to pioneers website and you all will see just how many add on's there are. There are also other apps that have been designed to work with the unit. keep your eyes open for a newer model with app radio

Getting one Saturday for 264 bucks from Crutchfield. Will be using a Moto Droid X. F*** iCrap. I'll just be using AUX, which is okay. Not a whole lot out there support the functions of Android, yet. That will change now that Android is slaying iCrap in sales. Love the way this unit looks and functions. Cannot wait!!!

This looks incredible. I was going to go for the single din Pioner MVH 8300BT in my Fiesta which comes as a default double din but after seeing this I'm pretty sure I'm going to spend the extra £60-£80 or w/e it is and get this. Thanks for the review buddy really good detail and good quality.

I have just got mine installed. But it seems like "source off" button doesn't actually switch the unit off. Do you have any idea on how to switch the unit off ? In the manual, it says to press an hold the "mute" button. I have tried that with no help.

is there anyway you can run the ipod cable from the back and through the glove compartment or something or does it always have to be in the front like that?

so this is what happened i've got the CD-IUV50V interface cable for my stereo and when i try to play a videon on the stereo it only hears the audio there's no video on it whats wrong w it anyone able to answer thanks vm

@Elmaikito If you're using the iPhone 4, you might have to reset the headunit. That should fix your problem. Hope that helps.

@blutkriegehre1 Thanks for the "1 Up" comment. I hope your device came with a warranty and wasn't stolen. I purchased the extended warranty with mine. You never know when you'll burn something out, it's electronic. I think $449 is a fair price, and good for you for getting it for $292.

@dreday1386 Once it's paired, it automatically syncs up every time as long as your phone's bluetooth is on. It works great with Droid X and good with iPhone 4. I say this because my contacts, and call logs load a lot smoother and faster with the Droid X. Nonetheless the iPhone 4 works with the unit.

The simple answer: No, you do not need a password every time.

Oh that's nice...how did he run the cable all the way up there?...I'm thinking bout installing it myself with help of a friend...I found mine online for bout 340.

@f3w1k90 The installer ran it through the A-Beam plastic wall and then got to the headliner and ran it under the headliner. I think he glued it to the windshield right next to the part the rear view mirror connects to the glass. Very professional job, you couldn't tell it was there unless you knew what you were looking for.

@f3w1k90 thanks for watching bro! The BT model comes with an external microphone, the installer installed it above my rear view mirror. The BT model is $450 at best buy or most shops.

@gaw528 thanks for watching! The head unit is pretty good at deflecting shine. Pretty good job on the anti glare coating, I would say. It should look good in your civic.

@f3w1k90 It is included in the "BT" model. Make sure you're getting the AVH-P3300BT and not the AVH-P3300 model if you want Bluetooth with the mic.

Great video and information! I have one question though, the website says the screen is anit-glare, is this true? My civic has a severe angle for the radio and I cannot see it in the day time.
