  • Galloway is no friend of Iran and he would have disgusted the great Persian hero Mossadegh - with his support for the fascist IRI - who sell our assets to China for nothing, and steal wealth of the Iranian people. Mossadegh is a great Iranian hero, and his spirit and voice will be the downfall of the current regime.

  • the woman makes me want to falcon punch her in the face.

  • the woman is really ignorant.

  • Iran has very rich petroleum reserves, the reason that Mossadeq was killed was simple.. He nationalized Iranian oil, so the British and American oil were no going to get a free lunch anymore.. So they killed him because their profits were getting cut into by nationalizing oil..

These days oil is traded in dollars, when Saddam Hussein told the West I am going to trade my oil in Euros instead of Dollars, U.S invaded. Bush an oil man, made the story up about WMD so the pretext was believable.

  • we all love you George

  • People I've spoken to who lived in Iran before the 78 revolution talk about it being a liberal place to live. Western politicians endlessly talk about the democracy. But if you have benevolent autocratic leaders, you can feel free in a dictatorship. These governments are less paranoid about enforcing EVERY SINGLE LAW, unlike democracies where the governments are paranoid about the people getting out of control, and so police crack down on everything.

  • + The woman talking at the end is not an idiot - she's been strategically dismissed by George because her message challenges his view, but she's right - people don't come out of a country saying it's a pleasant palce to live, if it isn't ! The people I've spoken to weren't idiots either - neither were they royalty. The experience depends on class, of course, but thats the same in any country. If you're a newspaper seller on the streets of England, you might get murdered by the police.

  • @strattyuk1... A good example is Dubai. Its a dictatorship, but you will feel free there. Beijing is the same.

  • Die bitch

  • The british lied to us!!!

  • It''s not the fault of the American or British peoples, their Governments are to blame.

  • Yeah, but there was misinformation in this video was like he said "Anlgo-American Oil company" while it was really called the Anglo Iranian Oil company. Also, Harry Truman defended Iran's rights to nationalize their oil but when Eisenhower came to power the M16 told him that Mossadegh was leading Iran towards communism and under that pretext Eisenhower went along with operation ajax, but in all reality mossadegh was an elderley aristocrat who despised all communist & Socialist Ideals.

  • @nosirrom5 Thanks for this info...the M16 murdered Diana and Dodi since she would have understandedly voiced outrage at the FAKE/STAGED WMD attack on Iraq and the rest of the Muslim world. This is new info for me regarding beloved Truman (My Daddy's old boss) and the placement of Shah Reza...How tragic how Western coverts play "God" with third world nations. Thanks again for the lesson.

  • Fuck Eisenhower, MI6 & the CIA. FACISTS

  • @ignaciosanmon for bribing street thugs to attack and kill anyone who is pro-mossadegh?! sure !!!

  • @ignaciosanmon

i agree with your argument. but who elected those governments to power????????????

  • @asedky

I see your point, but we can't put the blame on an entire people. I'm part of a people who elected a bastard who supported the invasion of Iraq, but I did demonstrate against it and voted for other party. There are wonderful people in the US, like Rachel Corrie, etc, who have nothing to do with US foreign policy.

But, understand, US people should think more carefully on the consequences of the policies of Governments they elect.

    Thanks for your comment.

  • @ignaciosanmon

I completely agree on your point. People are mostly powerless whom they elect to government. Institutions (cooperates, media and politics) tend to corrupt the electoral process to remain in power as long as it is possible.

It requires a herculean effort from the part of the constituents to do different.

Remember the first elections of GWB (the Florida farce).

  • @asedky

Which he actually lost to Gore. And the reality is that smaller parties who take a different approach are marginalized: unproportional representation (like in UK and other countries) make them get less seats; as they get less seats, they lose influence and presence in mainstream media. In the end, that's what our democracies are becoming, a single-bi-partisan model.

  • @ignaciosanmon @asedky

I think this is the first intelligent, and more importantly, respectful discussion I've ever seen in an internet forum. Congratulations, and thanks.

  • @JannaIceLand

    Thanks :-)

  • @nosirrom5

i agree with you on the argument. but who elected those governments to power?????

  • OMG this dickhead has no idea what he is talking about.

  • Great job.

The overthrow was probably the best thing that happened to that population.

  • Explain.

  • Important lesson: Never ask george galloway to "expand" on anything. lol.
