  • I'm learning this song bec I heard this recording! Thanks for adding the lyrics.

  • This is real music I dedicated this to the love of my life cheezy but the lyrics and sound is amazing!!:))

  • hey everyone , im jewballs bro , and i luv country , so , penis for your thoughts , all day long

  • i know this from walk the line and every one in that movie is amaizing singers inclouding him i love this music im 10 and evry one in my school dosnt even know what real music is like this.

  • There is only one word to describe the late, great Faron Young. FANTASTIC.

Will love him and his music FOREVER!

  • I know this song ffrom Walk The Line (:

  • We need to write,, to remember , to relive because all of these wonderful memories are hidden gold in our hearts; storeroom. Music makes the memories live and sparkle again. If only in the sci-fi imagination of our childlike innoncence we could actually escape back to the times which this music recalls. For the moment just sit back, listen and breath free. Music does make the memories, thank God!

  • I miss several girls from my past that I was too young to realize I loved them then. A different lifetime. Funny how it makes me feel better writing that down for strangers to read. Stay well out there. .

  • i was a 13 year old a stereo typical middle class Memphis, Tennessee home. I was 12 years old. My mom and dad used to argue for what seemed forever. My only outlet was when the cleaning girl, a 14 year old named , Arletta would stop by once a month to help Mom lift the curtains and dist. Arletta and I started to speak to each other after the first year. After the second she and I were friends. After the third, she and I snuck forbidben love and I still weep for her!! I miss you!!

  • this is most excellent.

  • You won't get stuff like this today...

  • 1 person doesn't know what real music is...

  • brilliant entertainer

  • i so went looking for this song after i heard it on 'walk the line" great song love it...!

  • @LittleGothicAngel524...you college people amaze me. You want to study country music? This depresses people? How about disgusting rap artists holding their"junk" going on about drugs, bitches and hos. Screw you college people, you have no"common sense". Please do not bother responding back, frankly your type disgusts me.

  • @ghostfish01 Yep,I totally agree with you :)

  • did you guys know that country music is the kind of music that depresses people the most? not directing this to Faron Young directly, but i just find it interesting that all the songs we have out here about hate and pain and sadness and suicide and killing people, but this kind of music, the good ole days, is the one that hurts people the most? its strange. :/

  • @LittleGothicAngel524 To condemn all the country music for the past 70 or so years because a couple of songs night have mention dying or suicide is pretty drastic. It's obviously popular as it has outsold all other types of music for the past decade. Most country & western music is happy & uplifting, each artist has to do some songs about hurting & pain over broken relationships because that's part of life. (continued)

  • @StevieB1362 completely agree with you* i apologize for my gramatical errors. stupid keyboards. :/ lol

  • @LittleGothicAngel524 (continued) It would be nice to sing about how good the rodeo went, but life is full of all kinds of situations & emotions & it helps to sing those feelings out & move on, instead of keeping them bottled up. Unofficial self-therapy if you will. Going out with friends & having a drink with friends (with a designated driver of course) to get over getting dumped, whether it's in a country or rock & roll place can help one "get over it." (continued)

  • @LittleGothicAngel524 (continued) Even rock & roll "Love Stinks" songs sing about love gone wrong. I'm sure emo music also sings about break-ups & not knowing what to do... So let's not single out country music. Good that we can discuss this civilly & respectfully. Thanks.

  • @StevieB1362 yes i agree, i just was reading up on statistics of music for a college report, and i saw that it said that this type of music is the cause for most of it. i completely agree with i, i just thought it peculiar that this type of music was the main cause. but you never know, statistics sometimes dont tell the truth :) and yes thank you for your civility and respect as well, friend.

  • This is my all time favorite song by Faron. 5******

  • Best place to find Asian women **busizz4me.info**

  • this is music!

not like the music of these days al computers and Sh*t i love the music from this era(a)

    greets from holland:D

  • A great song sung by a legend. There was only one Faron Young! Each artist was unique in their singing.

  • Met Farron in Nashville back in 72. He's a great guy

  • Diane's book was incredible... The one and only Faron Young.

  • i was too young but my god ,what a hell of a song

  • a great song written by Marvin Rainwater and Faron..I miss the great country entertainers!

  • For true Faron Young fans: Read the biography (Live Fast Love Hard Die Young- (A Faron Young Story) by Diane Diekaman

  • Marvin Rainwater wrote this song (of 'Gonna Find Me A Bluebird' fame). He gave Faron Young partial song writer's credit for changing the melody. According to Rainwater, Faron Young inserted the high notes and made the song great.

  • Faron has the gift to turn the stone heart ed into the loving mist. No One stands beside Faron and I have seen them come and go. George Jones is a very very close second . These guys came on the scene after the one and only Hank Williams. (yes they were here during Hank, but nobody could match the Great sounds of H.W.GOD rest his soul. Faron Young got throat cancer and took his life. Could not take it.

  • Well said. Faron was & truly is 2nd to none. He could do things with his voice that none of his contemporaries could match & that makes him king in my book. The best of today's "country" artists would be mediocre at best when compared to the true greats such as Faron but that really goes without saying so I apologize for stating the blatantly obvious :-) Thanks for posting this!

  • Great song, why can't artists entertain like that now? These people had such class and the World could sure use some now.

  • @GGouldTwo Trust me, i'd love to when i'm older.

  • He was the singing sheriff.

  • I ike johnny cash, but Faron Young is only second to Ray Price.

  • Faron Young is second to none My Friend.

  • @jamesabilly I TOTALLY agree!!

  • @mugatea13 I love Ray Price but Faron is my all time favorite. Faron would probably agree with you though. I have heard it said that he would not cover a Ray Price song because, in his words, "When Ray Price sings a song it has been sung!"

  • heard it on walk the line, great song, cant top johnny cash but still good

  • Comparing Faron to Johnny style wise is like comparing apples to oranges. Both are great but from a technical standpoint I don't think anyone could out sing Faron(Paycheck & Jones are close). I've spent a lot of time singing to the greats & Faron is the most difficult for me to match. He could move his voice in a way few others could & his ability to sing behind the beat is simply unmatched. He also had perfect pitch which allowed him to master the subtleties to an unbelievable degree.

  • Such a BEUTIFUL song and i heard this on walk the line, scene Rules (im not sure)

  • One of his best*****

  • Very good song from a great singer.

    Naomi

  • Same here. : D

  • great song just fell in love with it

  • Awesome song and his voice is amazing!!!

  • great song, takes me back to sitting around the dining table with my grandmother as boy on the farm listening to real country music...

  • Faron sounds great with this classic. I've always loved his music. We met him when he came to our town around 1973 and he was so much fun. He put on a terrific show with his band. We were impressed with how gentlemanly he was and even with a large crowd he took time to sign autographs and talk to as many fans as he could. Faron always looked so classy . Every one of his songs are winners and we miss him so much. Thank you for posting. - Paula
