Marines ay prang all purpose.Pde sa land, sea, at air.Ang SR(Scout Rangers) are elite military in all branches.It takes about more than a year to graduate in SR.So if u are an enlisted graduate who's training is for 6 mos and if u wish 2 become a SR,it will take u 4 about 2yrs.Training is HELL compared 2 BMT(Basic Military Training) and u can graduate in SR if u pass the test mission by infiltrating enemy territory or hunting down enemies & most important, if you come back alive..

i agree.. 9weeks lang naman ang training ng US Army Ranger.. thats about 2months ang one week. Pero sa Philippine Scout Ranger, 6months rigorous training. May test mission na limang totoong encounters ang dadaanan mo bago ka mag-survive. Eh dun sa US Ranger ay war games lang ang test mission nila at pagkatapos ay may evaluations at exams kung pasado ka ba or hindi. Ang ganda pa ng mga bunker nila compare sa SR d2 na ikaw gagawa ng bahay-bahayan mo habang tuyo at daing ang ulam.

The Filipino warriors have been jungle fighters for more than a few centuries now starting from the pre- Spanish Era, the Filipino-Spanish War, The Filipino-American War, the war against the Japanese, Take note also that the HUKBALAHAPs, the NPA's,, MNLF, MILF, Abu Sayyaf are also trained in jungle fighting.

I've spent a couple of days at Camp Tecson (Home of the 1st Scout Ranger Regiment) and seen these brave men train. They are Regs. & selected men of the Army who has either experience in battle or surpassing the BMT. Sun up to sun down these guys train.
Btw, most of the trainees I spoke with are BISDAK. Just as I am.

Marines ay prang all purpose.Pde sa land, sea, at air.Ang SR(Scout Rangers) are elite military in all branches.It takes about more than a year to graduate in SR.So if u are an enlisted graduate who's training is for 6 mos and if u wish 2 become a SR,it will take u 4 about 2yrs.Training is HELL compared 2 BMT(Basic Military Training) and u can graduate in SR if u pass the test mission by infiltrating enemy territory or hunting down enemies & most important, if you come back alive..

Pero nag-conduct rin regional training ang mga SR gaya nung sa Bukidnon, Samar, etc..

i agree.. 9weeks lang naman ang training ng US Army Ranger.. thats about 2months ang one week. Pero sa Philippine Scout Ranger, 6months rigorous training. May test mission na limang totoong encounters ang dadaanan mo bago ka mag-survive. Eh dun sa US Ranger ay war games lang ang test mission nila at pagkatapos ay may evaluations at exams kung pasado ka ba or hindi. Ang ganda pa ng mga bunker nila compare sa SR d2 na ikaw gagawa ng bahay-bahayan mo habang tuyo at daing ang ulam.

U.S. Rangers may have the better equipment at their disposal but the Philippine Scout Rangers are at par with or even better when it comes to jungle fighting. The Filipino warriors have been jungle fighters for more than a few centuries now starting from the pre- Spanish Era, the Filipino-Spanish War, The Filipino-American War, the war against the Japanese, Take note also that the HUKBALAHAPs, the NPA's,, MNLF, MILF, Abu Sayyaf are also trained in jungle fighting.

I've spent a couple of days at Camp Tecson (Home of the 1st Scout Ranger Regiment) and seen these brave men train. They are Regs. & selected men of the Army who has either experience in battle or surpassing the BMT. Sun up to sun down these guys train.
Btw, most of the trainees I spoke with are BISDAK. Just as I am.

8th scout ranger company losing bad to the npa in bicol. just lost 7 soldiers to the npa last week. it seems that it's the npa is the real deal when it comes to guerilla warfare. think about that.
