I was a dedicated Mr. Cartoon fan from the late 1970s until he stopped doing the daily show in 1988. I always thought it was crazy that my house growing up in the sticks of Adams County Ohio was about the only place around that got WSAZ's signal ( 'course, we lived on top a hill and had a HUGE tower for our tv antenna..LOL)
I remember getting to go with the Brownie troop I was in one year. I forgot how long that show was on...wow! I know some friends I will need to share this with! Thanx for the post
Oh yeah! I always loved watching this show when I came home from school back in the early 80s. Man,they need to bring this one back and make it all new!
OMG!! I cant beleive I found this. I would rush home from school, throw my books down, and sit in front of the Tv to watch Mr Cartoon, and Beeper. Thank you for posting this fond childhood memory. Makes me home sick. Thanks again for posting.
thanks for sharing ,wonderful childhood memories. My sister and I are debating if Beeper is a Lion or gorilla . Does anyone know where the costume came from? it looks very much like a Sid and Marty Krofft creation from the banana splits which was a Lion. this would solve a long debate thanks!
Thanks for posting this. I worked with Jule Huffman at WSAZ back in the early 1970s. He was an institution of Huntington, WV television for many years before that. Nice memory.
7:35 - Mr. Cartoon does the Leakspin Girl song.

WSAZ needs to bring shows like this back for children after school, it would be a major improvement to what they are showing now.
