  • Comments welcome here, always approved obviously when in respect of this man. Pity at the time my mobile phone was poor for videos, but better than no record of him.

  • This was so sad to watch. One of the best renditions of the song I've ever heard. And to know he played during the war (I'm assuming WWII of course) and to his wife is just heart wrenching. It's so reminiscent of a better time lost to a superficial world. I'm so sorry to hear he passed. Thank you for uploading this. As brief as it is, it's exactly the style I've always wanted hear this song.

  • wow! vintage music for a vintage pianist? may he rest in peace. AMEN,,,

  • Boy this the real deal, the guy could play. Is he alive?

  • Pity no he pased away about the time I posted the mobile video short on YouTube. I enjoyed his playing & he would play anytime someone visited there, but sadly other than to his Wife not often enough. He used to play on ships & during the war. A natural.

  • This slight tune always moves me, I don't know why. Mr Read's performance is old fashioned in a good way, making it extra poignant. I hope Heaven has a cruise ship with a big white piano! God bless.

  • God bless him! Very moving version of "tea for two". Thank you for posting it! All the best from Jo from Bremen/ Germany

  • the best damn show i have ever seen
