back in the 70's...so many rich memories, ACW, women struggling and finding their wings....thank you Chris, you uplifted more soul than you can imagine! I'm happy you're still singing! My children, now adults, know practically know every lyric!
We sang this song at Camp Hidden Falls, Girl Scout Camp in the Poconos back in the late 70's early 80's. It was always one of my favorites. I still sing it to my nieces and nephews.
We sang this and danced to this song at my uncle and aunt's funerals. It was beautiful, and I'll never listen to this song the same way again. It is the best song to help you rejoice in times of sorrow. Thank God for such songs
So lovely to hear this song again. This will be played July 8th in Oklahoma celebrating the life of Kathy, who loved your music. Thank you Cris. From Joyce
beautifully done video. put this song on the sound system at the end of the citizens party convention after we nominated sonia johnson for president in 1984. we all sang and danced in joyous anticipation of the changes to come as women took their power. espavo.

Thank you all, I'd forgotten how much I loved this song, corny as it sounds, it's in my stride and smile, and I'd forgotten it was there, like a pinch of salt.
I have been loving this song for years. It is helping to transform the world and awaken people to the inherent joy within each of us. Thank you from my entire being!
I know what you mean about loving this song. I never tire of it! I am happy you like Gilbert Williams' paintings with it :-) And I'm glad you found it.
My mother brought me up with your music. It made me open to who she was and to dance and celebrate with her. Now I listen to it and it brings back beautiful memories for me with my mother and her wife. Thank you for helping me grow to be a woman who believes in no matter who you are love is for everyone. You made me love my child hood instead of running from it. Thank you
I have a personal list of favorite songs I sing along with as a meditative sort of activity before I go to sleep at night. I like to start with this one. Thanks for posting.
Cris Williamson, your music has been life changing. Growing up as a lesbian in an angry world.... your music was/is filled with the love all should feel.
Our close group of women would always hold hands in a circle and sing this song before we would go home.

This is a song we sing at my camp... I never knew it was by lesbian icon until now. It makes me feel so proud for my camp to be so accepting.
