  • Comment removed

  • @lianlaspinas Hindi ba Pulstar muna then Allego then Jimmy Antiporda-composed Allegro-inspired ang theme ng TVP?

  • Bobby Nalzaro and Atty. Rose Versoza: Saksi Cebu, every Monday-Friday at 5-5:30 PM (1995-1999)

  • @khangkhung3 yes.

  • old naman i2

  • Sheila Coronel gets my vote!

  • lalang

  • this was years ago. so glad to know filipinos are now winning peabody awards and such for such good journalism

  • A BETTER update: Robin Padilla now gets to host a noontime show; Kris has wonderfully redeemed herself and is now one of the best and brightest talk (not to mention generous) show hosts;the brother of president elect-Noynoy Aquino on our recently held May 10, 2010 polls with a wide margin of more than 5M votes .Imelda won a congressional seat, her daughter Imee won as well as governor of Ilocos and Imelda's son, Bong2, now a senator.

  • democracy in the Philippines after Marcos is overused, misused and underused.media is overusing their freedom of speech

  • @eriche143 agree with you.

  • @eriche143 so bring back martial law and shut the mouths of the people who want to speak up? Have fun when that happens again. You will never be able to do what you're doing now.

  • @eriche143 in short, exaggeration!

  • it's kris not chris

  • TV Patrol Original Tagline:

Narito na ang mga Nagbabagang Balita mula sa ABS-CBN News and Public Affairs, Ihahatid sa inyo nina Noli de Castro, Mel Tiangco, Frank Evangelista at Christine Bersola sa Pinakalatest, Nanguuna, Via Sattelite at Tunay na Pambansang Newscast... TV Patrol!

  • @GABBYSHOE08

i remember the tagline of noli before the show ends was

"at yan ang kabuuan ng mga balitang itinampok sa TV Patrol, Maraming Salamat...Magandang Gabi Bayan"

  • @bbpatrol Yes. I know that.

  • @bbpatrol Until now that line is used but with different words.

  • @paolocabling As TV Patrol World (2004-2010):

Kami ang mga Patrol ng Pilipino, Nagbabalita at naglilingkod sa'yo, Saan Man Sa Mundo

    Sanchez Era (2001-2004):

Kami ang inyong Sandigan ng Katotohanan, Maraming Salamat...Magandang Gabi Bayan

  • @GABBYSHOE08 Balitang Balita Original Tagline:

  • @lianlaspinas

    1987-1992: Pulstar

    1992-1996: theme by ryan cayabyab

    1996-2001: original allegro of garicomm

    2001-2006: unknown allegro composition

    2006-2010: Jimmy Antiporda

give us a proof they used eyewitness news package instead of allegro?

  • @edwinmichaelquiboloy Lian is a phony. He makes ridiculous claims on almost every PHL news file here on YT. I don't know where his imagination is taking him.

  • @gurimrippa its GUS ABELGAS

  • Sinong mag-uupload ng TV Patrol old episodes? (1987-2004, bago muna ang TV Patrol World}

  • Here in the Philippines, every time a live shot/report will be aired, you'll see many people - yes, many people - stand behind the news reporter just for the sake of being shown on the television. Then, if the reporter will stand in a high area (some even stand on the top of news vans or OB Vans, you'll see just a few usiseros (by-standers).

  • who is that woman has big eyes, she's not a filipino right, so she has no right to give comments regarding what's really happening in the philippines. mine ur own country woman...i think you are from malaysian or Indonisian or Burma, from poor country also...

  • @MrUnggoy24 It's Shiela Coronel [nasa description]. Naging head siya ng Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism.

  • It's strange how the media treats Kris Aquino nowadays--as the documentary said, the media loves a spectacle, Kris has always made herself into a grand spectacle. Although she quite matured over the years, she's still quite notorious for airing her dirty laundry in public. For me she tainted her parents name with whatever publicity she did, and still people love her. Funny but true.

  • Patay Na Si Cory Aquino (1933-2009)

  • It's nice to see this in light of the recent passing of Cory Aquino.

  • This video is like 15 years ago.

  • i think journalism now in the philippines is improving. I mean the documentaries that both stations are showing are very competitive and I would say meeting international standards, given the fact that their docs. are now receiving international recognition and awards. But still, there are more rooms for improvement.

  • every time i return to the philippines (cebu) for holidays i m thinkin " OMG, what the heck are they showin on TV?? mag beach nalang ako." and i am not talkin about the "action " news, BUT those cheezy soapoperas NONSTOP EVERY EVENING grabe ang puta xD

  • tabloid media is so popular in the philippines because a great majority of the people are poor they can easily relate to trash...they love to see and hear other people's dirt and misfortune as they're all too pleased to find out they're not alone....kumbaga akala niya sha lang ang me baho, me baho ka ren pala /especially celebrities/...and to be presented with more people's 'baho' on tv is very entertaining to the masses...

  • its gel santos-relos

  • this is our newsroom wayback 1996!! wow!! where did you get this??

  • is this the newsroom before noli went solo on TV Patrol?

  • when noli went solo, the long table just removed and changed it into a solo one, the backdraft is still the same

And obviously, may kinikilingan, which is supposed to be neutral sila. Its how they sensationalize the other party, editing and its all in the play of words. Cory was a weak president and alot of problems rooted during her reign. Afterall, its all about showbusiness! Responsible journalism? It has a pricetag.

  • Mali ata yung nagsasalita. "Abelgara" daw si Gus Abelgas.

  • Wut? Gus Abegara? Who the hell is that? It's Gus Abelgas. CHOKO! Scene of the crime operatives. hahahahaha

  • What the hell is goin on to Emilda??? she need suck (: fucking corruption fuck u!! many treasure in Philippines . Many hunger but she is dumbass ! wow that great cheaters better to go hill emilda with your family..why your daughter still in politics fuck u!

  • Gus Abelgas and Robin Padilla! This is definitely going to my favorites.

  • wow!!! this is soooooo.... old!!! they should upload another video that is like new

  • fyi, the first male news reporter (noli de castro) is currently the vice president of the philippines)

  • hmppppppp, kagugul;o, at kayayabang pa, patutsadaha kayo ng patutsadahan, ewan

  • So apparently they are copying American journalism.

  • they got it right when they said we like sensationalism. TV PATROL hasn't changed much either. the media in the philippines is as powerful as ever and we can only hope that more good will be done as we see some effort to put that power to good use.

  • I think this was made in the 90's. Sadly philippine journalism still remains the same now (2008) the only difference is the news anchor here is already the vice president of the Philippines. Robin padilla is now as free as a bird and regain his stardom. Imelda won again a seat in the congress. Kris has now a top rating talk show and game show as well. Ang Gus has his own current event show (SOCO). And yes...police still use media to cover their activities for whatever motives they may have.

  • lets put it this way... I'm not insulted in what you've typed in here.. but my point is that, if some influencial may accidentaly read what I've wrote here, he or she may influence other people to think staight in their life. I'm a social study observer.. you may not know what we're trying to do here... we don't write vulgar words .you can say what ever you want, you'll never know, we may study what you're saying to..it may help us but it may not help you..

  • ...robin padilla.. very poor in english..and the filipinos still hails him...very very sad..

  • why is speaking english the measure for being hailed? would being articulate in tagalog be just as good?

  • If you're still back there the philippines with a 20 years back dated attitude and technology...I'm not surprised you'll stick to your statement...good luck...

  • you're going off on a tangent. here's the point: speaking english is not the measure of intelligence. wasn't that your claim? you're not going to propel our country to a greater platform if you lack patriotism to our culture and point of view. moving to britain by 4 and moving to u.s. by 11, i'm a master of what speaking english can do and believe me pare, it's not all that.

  • iceboy219 - e bakit ka ingles ng ingles?

  • Dear philippine media--reporting is a responsibilities---it should be sensitive and sophisticate.Bloody events and disturbing scene should not be openly showed in open screen--honest politician give priorities and the countries interest is protected---A filipino in Denmark

  • yes you're right.. our philippine media is NOT functioning well at all as they're only releasing the sensation issues only.. for us out of the country,we can see the difference but for them "philippine media" do not know the REAL impact in the outer world.. they're more concern of the agencies that pay them for ads. I understand that earning a living in the country is very hard, but our journalist must be smart enough to take care of our societies image and get stratigic towards a better life.

  • Amen!

  • yeah i know! when you really pay attention to the news between channels, certain news that are supposed to be the same, varies. For example lets say one channel says this one kid was killed by his dad then the other channels says he was killed by his uncle. So it gets confusing.

  • The kind of sensational news reporting perpetrated by the likes of TV Patrol has created an audience of shallow and impressionable viewers. Former news anchor Noli de Castro is now the Vice President of the Philippines. Presently media reporting is even at its worst with negative and defamatory remarks being abetted by opportunist politicians!

  • nice video!

  • this is a great docu! kudos journeyman!

  • Wow, is that how long it's been since this documentary was filmed (Feb. 1996)? I liked the programming of ABS-CBN back then. TV Patrol rules the airwaves back then. Another trip down memory lane. Thanks for uploading this! A must fave!

  • well being the 1st person to comment on this video i really think that most of the people would think that Filipinos are crazy about tv personalities than anything else and i think it has more advantages than negatives
