I just got Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions... So far it's amazing, I've played as all four Spider men and i love all of them, My favorites however are 2099 and Noir, and I'm telling you right now, that Marvel Games(or whoever's in charge) needs to just STOP everything they are working on, and make a full free-roaming Spider-Man 2099 game, that is honestly one of the coolest most beautiful worlds I've EVER seen.

1.He's evil,behaves like a wild animal(has no mind) and wouldn't join with the other Spideys.

2.He was defeated by Brock wearing the "incomplete" black suit and then Eddie absorbed the Carnage suit from Peter and gained complete control over Venom so there isn't a Spider-Carnage any more...

@SolidThugKnuckles Oh man, that brings back some nostalgia for being a kid. That show was one of my favorites and I vaguely remember that episode too: Believe they fought the Red Skull. Wasn't that a warm-up for the real threat? There were these secret missions or whatever they called 'em where a bunch of Marvel characters chosen by Spider-man were to stop Dr. Doom and other super villains on some planet that reminded me of Mars.

Those were the good ole' days when the world felt limitless.

Anyhow, I can't wait to try this game out. Every Spider-man game since part 2 has left a bad taste in my mouth--hope this doesn't disappoint. It looks to be more story driven, and the different universes of Spider-Man seem diverse and intriguing enough to keep it fresh. So long as the game play is something like Web of Shadows (fluid and intuitive), and the story isn't as dry as venom taking over some generic version of New York while we're being forced to fight duplicate villains then I'm down.

@kersai I don't dispute that. Literature has a certain depth that has lacked in movies and video games since their inception. Though I believe modern media is still young in its development, thus it's difficult to compare to literature.

I don't think words can have quite the impact as a picture, let alone a moving one. As the saying goes, a picture is worth 1,000 words.

But ya, video games are becoming much more captivating as they evolve and become more articulate than beating a high score.

The 90s Spider-Man show was great IMO, but unfortunately when you watch it and the 90s X-Men cartoon again today they pale in comparison to the 90s DC cartoons. The weird censoring they did for the Spidey cartoon was strange too, as the 90s Batman cartoon got away with a lot if you think about it. I still think to this day that keeping Spidey from punching and kicking bad guys has to be one of the weirdest decisions made in cartoons.

@SolidThugKnuckles I'd have to agree, and I must say that I enjoy 90's Batman much more now--as an adult-- than I did as a kid. What I was commenting on was the nostalgia of watching what I happened to watch as a kid (Saturday cartoons and such). I suppose it's the demographic they were catering to that affected my viewing habits. I appreciate Batman's gritty side and dark humor much more now of course. Although, I believe each franchise has its merit as cartoons go.
