You can use the model that simultaneously shoots the primary weapon and a gunpod to take out the boosters. Just takes a bit longer.

The twin solid rocket boosters are the mission objectives. The pancake head guy at the end is the boss =)

Game Over. As in really Game Over. No matter how many lives you have left, the game ends, and you are brought back to the title screen after some scenes. So I suggest that you kill yourself by running into the ship if you know you can't destroy the targets in time =)

Don't forget after you take out the 3 fighters: As soon as the station releases those little defense shields & raises it's wings (Right when you can start damaging it.) A little dome pops up out of the top. Shoot it so it explodes & goes back in. Then just shoot the station's neck until you destroy it, as it goes down, as it blows up, it will release that little secret jellyfish boss. It's an awesome bonus not many think about. (Plus it has that cool Afterimage music.)

The best part is even the JP version is almost 100% English =) As far as I see, only subtitles and fighter descriptions are in japanese. Main Menu and options are in english, yea good times.

I think its because your attack was announced to be unmanned to the people on Earth (your enemies) by the Moon (your homeworld). So you need to be killed to prevent the truth from escaping somehow. Others pls feel free to correct me.

Without the high powered gun pods, each second that ticks away makes your heart beat faster and faster. The must adds to that. The title ofhte stage music is called, "Impatience."

First 2 bonuses come from destroying a small red plane thats launched from the pods when u destroy sufficient things? that come out of the spaceship, hard to describe, best to watch other videos that have done it or go gamefaqs. For bonus 3,when the boss fight begins, a small nub-like thing pops out directly above the boss's disc-like head. Shoot it and destroy it. Then kill the boss normally. When it dies, it will launch a small jellyfish like creature, destroy it to get bonus 3. Hope it helps.

I love tis stage. Plus it's the only stage with an optional boss. You have to kill the stage boss in a certain way to make it appear. I've only been able to do it by accident though.

Yea, you shoot the top part of the boss, some smll lump will pop out of the saucer thing on the boss, just shoot it and after the fight you can face it, but I just got lazy =)
