@drhu , I am sick and tired of people filing in the blank on what the message of the 2010 election was. It was as much about who did not vote as who did. Democrats lost because the economy is down and the electorate forgot it was brought by republican dogma. We have had the Bush tax cuts for 8 years, lost jobs. There is also a lot of evidence that the dems lost because they were not progressive enough. One thing is for sure it is time for the rich to actually create jobs, or they should shut up.

saving corporations from failing is not socialism.
Because, majority of the population did not want the corporations to be saved, let alone be given any mercy. Socialism is only valid as its functions are meant to be if majority of the population has any sort of power over its gov't.

I also understand that traditional definitions dont suffice, usually its the left who message the language to fit their own meaning. I have taken liberty with some terms, but I would argue that my use isn't so far afield.

Might wanna look that up. Nauru, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Cook Islands, Niue, Samoa, Palau, and Kuwait can all be considered "fatter" than the US. The US only tops lists that exclude such countries.
