To me it isn't right for any human for whatever reason, to have these "pets". They are not pets, they are God's creations who belong in the wild. Let's get these people who think they are so special because they have these wild animals and stick them in a small cage, feed them once a day and see how they feel about it. They tried to use tranquilizers but they only had 4 of the tranquilizer guns & it was going on nighttime. They can take up to 30 min to work. A tiger tried to attack the vet that shot at them with the tranquilizer gun & a cop had to act fast to save the vets life. I just can't bring myself to fully blame the cops, they didn't have the time or resources to deal with something like this. I blame the owner of these animals. There's no WAY they could've caputured 100% of the animals. Where do they put 18 tigers? Catching a single tiger is hard enough! 17 lions? Shit, zoo's do not have enough tranquilizers to fix it.

They would've probably had to bring in tranq's out of state, it's Ohio. Sheesh.

I don't think that the Muskingum County Sheriff's office handled this incident very well. I know that the escape of the animals was a terrifying ordeal for Zanesville area residents and I would sooner have seen these animals killed than to have any human being injured or killed, but I just don't understand why so many of the animals were put down. I personally feel that Matt Lutz and his deputies probably quite relished going on safari without leaving their hometown. Very sad.
