  • Ay hit behind It thought you had to hit infront of it -__-

  • Firstly, all the advice he's giving WILL HELP YOU. the ball, the wedge, all of it!

Secondly, He wants you to contact the ball first and make it FEEL like it's RUNNING UP THE CLUB FACE!

Finally, the video reads how to make your golf ball CHECK UP!

    Quite simple there IDIOTS!

He has the video evidence for backup! Make a lame video of your own in response. Or just post more negativity and then we will know your golf is crap! haha'

  • The kid said to play the ball in the middle of the stance, not to the front or back like people keep commenting on. Besides, spin can be generated either way as long as you make consistant contact. He is giving advice on how he does it and there are always exceptions in golf. There are plenty of tour pros that use this technique...Did you think he just came up with it on his own?

  • you are a idiot, dress like ur plyning golf

  • Nice Chip-In Respect

  • Nice video kid, dont pay attention to all these trolls who have nothing but negative things to say

  • In your part where you talk about stance your open stance and open clubface will give the ball side spin and have it stop. Not really backspin. When you strike the ball with an open clubface like that the ball will generate more side spin and that is what is being shown in the video

  • The only people that can make proper tutorials with real help are pros

  • Fuck up dickhead

  • this is actually horrible advice the fact that you opened the face generates side spin so stop being a complete twat and wise up, stop giving people crap advice! "to much stuff in between the club face" lol i think what you meant to actually say there was, grass!

  • "let the ball roll up the club face for the maximum spin" hahahaha good lord. Kid, just stop and catch your breath.

  • U didnt even get backspin

  • nice vid man!

  • if wanna see REAL spin look at the video titleist vokey spin.

  • its so funny listening to all you idiots argue, because you have no real idea how to consistently spin the ball out of not just a tight lie but the rough as well

  • sorry well your golf teachers wrong playing the ball up in the stance increases hitting behind the ball and making bad ball contact if you play the ball back in your stance and hit down on it then you will always make good ball contact

  • ask any tour player of any golf pro you want the ball in the back of the stance, you want to deloft the club, and you want to hit ball first not right behind the ball so maybe next time

  • @clytube1378 The awkward moment when you are wrong. My golf teacher is a PGA tour professional, and you do not want the ball in the back of you stance. Everyone thinks that having the ball in the back of your stance on a chip will give it more spin, but they are wrong. On a chip you want the ball in the front of your stance, and you do not want to mess with the loft of the club at all. Hitting the ball first leaves room for skulling it, so sadly you are wrong as well, but he is just a kid, chill

  • @LAXMAN0611 This is a flop shot not a chip shot. Hitting behind the ball will give it more spin but you need to know where your weight should be depending on the lie. Most people shouldn't try this shot. On a chip shot, you should always contact the ball first. You can get chip shots to spin with a soft ball and acceleration. Hitting the ball first actually prevents skulling it. skulling or blading it is caused by weight in the wrong place or flipping your wrists.

  • @LAXMAN0611 Its not that hard to become a pga pro

  • nice video and good short game. your are achieveing some back spin there but you are not getting them to stop dead. your getting there.

  • Stop worring about golf, and match your fucking clothes!

  • have those greens been cut this week?

  • really good lesson you have good skills

  • Spin is dictated by 1) angle of attack and 2) purity of the strike. The club doesn't know anything about what you are setting up, so hinge early and hold that angle for a descending blow and hold the club off, in other words, do NOT let the club pass the hands. He's close and kudos for trying though.

  • we have the same name.

  • you dont need to be in the fairway to have spin you can still have spin in the rough and sand bunkers

  • spin is created by friction between the ground and the grooves so higher clubheadspeed will enhance the friction which will give you more spin. On this short shots you should also use the bounce of the club not traping the ball so much like you would on a normal wedge.

  • so is it basically a flop shot im new to golf??

  • how are people actually hating on this young kid. Kuddos to you young Sir. Keep your work up

  • Kid shut up you have no idea at all of what your taking about.

  • Dumbass, if you're good, you can do it with any ball.

  • @MeBeV3 you calling ppl dumbass you fucking retard why do you think pros thats right PROS use a ball that dont spin off a driver and got a canny bit of spin on the short irons if you can use any ball to do spin why dos tiger woods lee westwood ect all use soft feel spinballs pmsl fucking noob i bet his handicap is him self lol

  • nice chip in. ya the ball will check up pretty darn good if youre hitting off of kikuyu grass or if you just have the right equipment it automatically checks.

  • Hahahaha. RangersCowboy cracks me up. On a hard, dry green you will see the golf ball spin more. On a WET SOFT green you will hardly see the golf ball spin at all. The ball will hit the green and sink into it, which slows down the spin.

  • its called a flop shot

  • Good lesson. I didn't realize the face of the club should be so open, I tend to pinch the club much more than you do (more roll). What do you recommend in terms of bounce as I'm planning on getting a few CG15's very shortly.

  • wtf this vid is bad, u dont open ur face for a flop shot? i fucking hood my club and let it roll out a foot or 6 inches. but its preference i guess

  • 20 handicap ? ur garbage

  • learn how to teach. thats not a check shot at all, and the green is soaked as hell.

  • Right, you're trying to give golf lessons when you play off double figures and you're like 10 years old... Also, that green is so wet and soft I could rip it back further with my putter.

  • Nice video thank you for posting it.

  • if you call that check, you mustr be high. it's called SOLID CONTACT AND A GOOD SWING, your shitty method only helps hackers.. like you

  • man ur a fucking noob. i've seen armless children get more check on chip. wat ur saying is all bollox so do some hw... oh btw ur playing golf not scrummaging thru surfboards... get som decent attire!! let scotland rule the world

  • so in other words.... a little flop shot lol

  • your "normal stance" was still open... you dont need to open your stance to get spin, opening stance increases chance of blading the shot, just watch phil mickelsons video on how to chip.

  • A cat could spin a ball with a Vokey.

    Not much skill needed

  • hmm im sure you shouldnt be wearing that on a coarse .

  • what do u get when u cross three legged licking lesbians with a lollipop?

  • Ball in back of stance, not middle, compress the ball (don't try scoop it) and you certainly don't need to cut across the ball (or open your stance and shoulders) because that adds loft if you open the club face whereas many pitches require little loft

  • You are obviously not a good enough golfer to realize that you can put backspin on any type of ball, not just a "soft tour ball". And you can use any club. I have chipped with a 7 iron and put freaking backspin on it. Just gotta know how to do it. So this video pretty much helps nobody.

  • @sporkfullasomethin Haha you are full of crap I wanna se your chip with your 7 iron with a pinnacle distance ball and I want to see some great check on it if you can do that you are the short game gury.

  • @f0cusen I'm not saying its going to stop in its track and go backwards. But you can put check on any ball with any iron. Maybe not something like a 4 or 5 iron but you can put check on a ball with a lower club when you chip it. And its not gury. Its guru. adur.

  • @sporkfullasomethin I wanna see that and I'm taking about check on the golf ball that is visible for the naked eye

do you even know what check is?

    ohh my misstake guru

  • @f0cusen I have been golfing for 10 years and I have won a state championship in golf and gotten second place twice as a high schooler so yes I think I might have a good idea on what check is. It's not hard to put check on a golf ball with any iron.

  • you guys are all dumb.

  • @topsykrietts Then pls tell me the correct way to do it.Thks

  • learn how to do something before you teach it and you can cheak any ball on a green just have 2 know how.

  • @will444441 noooo you have to use a soft tour ball so it bites into the grooves

  • @Liamrox463 you dont to have a soft ball, you can use any

  • Respond to this video... you just get MORE spin with a softer ball

  • @Liamrox463 no you don't soft balls do give you more spin but you can spin any ball

  • @Liamrox463 if your a good ball striker you can spin any ball

  • @Liamrox463 will444441 is right, if you can really learn how to spin a ball, you can get any ball to check up.

  • @Liamrox463 well using a tour ball helps but it is definitely possible with any ball but the harder the cover on the ball the harder it is to spin.

  • Comment removed

  • @will444441 Well said.

  • to spin a ball you need to compress it and you definitely cannot compress a pent tp you need a ball such as a lady precept haha

  • Comment removed

  • I'm a pretty awesome golfer so I can get spin on hard or soft greens, but good debate nonetheless. Some of the language though would not be tolerated in my company, ettiquette gentlemen please, this is not the rodeo!

  • Thanks so much

  • luck.com

  • nice shots, just bought a cg15 and love it

  • no check at all

  • yo man the only reason why u could put back spin and that isnt even that much is becuase the green is soaked so the greens are soft which makes the ball spin even more. try that when the grens are hard, nice try bud

  • @RangersCowboy ya i know i actually got some good shots that just stopped but yeah if the green were dry i would have gotten more spin. i did gt some good spin despite the weather

  • @Liamrox463 When the greens are soft, the ball spins more. You just said you would get more spin on hard greens.

  • @BasketofKindling i meant was that the ball would "stick" or bite alittle more

  • @Liamrox463 It sticks more on soft greens, make a video when you actually know what your talking about.

  • @Liamrox463 Man these guys just hate that you have some skill in checking up the golf ball and mad because they have tried it so many times but suck and cannot get it to check up. So they're are jealous of your skill anyway nice shot on the last one

  • @Liamrox463 no it checks better on a soft green, hard greens take alot of spin to check

  • @Liamrox463 You couldn't perform a good shot in your entire life. It's just sheer cheak the way you "try" to teach people how to play golf when you can just watch a pro do it. Cocky shit.

  • @Liamrox463 dude he said u got spin because of the soft wet greens so i highly doubt u could do it on a dry green...

  • @RangersCowboy Your retarded. A soaked green will make the ball plug and not spin at all. The best green for spin is one that's not too soft but not too hard. So none of you were right. lol

  • @RangersCowboy calm down there allstar

  • nice backspin man
