Hey Alex

Glad you like the video. If you have a great sound there is probably no need to change, just make sure you are using a nice free-blowing embouchure, (check out Joe Allard).

Most pro players use 3 or 3.5 reeds, but talk to your local music shop sax player/reed salesman and your teacher if you have one, everyone is happy to share their knowledge.

I use a Richie Cole model Meyer 5 M-M mouthpiece, a Vandoren Revoution III ligature and Vandoren 3.5 traditional reeds

Hey man I think ur video is pretty awesome. It has great blues licks AND u play them for us, meaning that its way better because we can copy the style of music too, not just the notes.Congrats!

But I was wondering u had a video like this one with 10 bebop licks?? If u do it would be super awesome if u do. If u dont I would suggest u maybe doing a video like that, it would be super awesome, I would totally steal some lick from someone like u!

Adam I am new at the alto sax. I recently bought a bamboo alto sax tuned in Bb. Since it is laid out like a bamboo flute learning by ear really helps. Still I will write for teh PDF to see what holes map to notes.

I like this without the notes....I've already figured out he first two runs....to develop on any instrument your ear is crucial. It's the only way to adjust your sound. Kinda like learning to speak...kids still speak before they read? right?

I am SO glad to know that someone is taking these ideas to different keys. If you look at the tenor version of this, you will hear me ramble on about how it's important to play in all keys yadda yaddah but it really is true. If an idea is good enough to play in one key, it's good enough to play in all keys.
