I like the EX engine and the character-interchange from Super to Super but that infinite assist REALLY messed that game up for me so I bypass it completely.

@Capcomzero Which I find is crap anyway. That infinite assist thing spoiled MvC 2 for me. I like characters that can stand on their own AND work as a team. MvC 2 is ALL about the assist and that's why I hate Strider, Chun Li, Sabertooth, Ryu, Rogue and which ever other characters they had to DILUTE in MvC 2.

You say balance, I say NERF but I guess it's about your preference. I like chars that can stand alone and teamwork is a choice but in MvC 2, assist isn't an option but a REQUIREMENT. -_-

@luikang12 I agree to an extent. Yes it's about teamwork but a chain is only as strong, cliche, cliche. With that in mind, that is why I like my characters to BE ABLE to stand alone so that when I do combine their strengths, they're EVEN MORE formidable. IMO, if one char is weak, the team is weak because if the rest of your team is dead and you end up with just that weak char left, you're screwed. I don't like to be screwed.

@luikang12 Besides, more often than not, the assist ends up fighting more than the main and that kind of peekaboo pussy play just isn't my style. If you're saying that's what MvC2 calls for then I'm saying again, it ain't for me.

Don't get me wrong, I've got NOTHING against teamwork. It's just that the way I build teams, each member pulls its own weight and the ppl I've fought against depend more on the infinite assist than on SKILL and actual character expertise. That just ain't for me.

@JayDee5290 Yep... They totally nerfed Strider in MvC 2. They had to do SOMETHING to make Hayato and Silver Samurai look good so they took Strider's Falchion and gave him a whiffle bat. Capcom sux sometimes. -_-

Yeah, seriously; Strider is a criminally underused action character. Fucked up thing is, Capcom's very first "Strider" game the arcade version? It gave Capcom enough money to make Street Fighter II (it was a hit), and the Genesis port sold well CLEAR to the end of the console's life.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, doesn't a company not make a sequel when a game DOESN'T sell well? What the fuck is wrong with Capcom?

EPIC. As a proud Strider Hiryu practitioner, I am awed. These combos will make excellent additions to my Bankai once I master them but there is no way that I can assimilate ALL of these JAW-DROPPING techniques.
