how do you know when an egg is ready to be cut? and isn't there risk of killing the unborn snake if its too early?

@jkobylka ok but evan if u count days how do u know they wont be slightly undeveloped is there a way of knowing other than by how much time has gone by?

@Woodacus87 - If you incubate at the proper temp, the will develop at a predictable rate. for example. if you incubate at 89 degrees, on day 54 you know for a fact that it is safe to cut because they are fully developed.

@jkobylka ok noted so will pipping work on other reptile eggs such ass bearded dragons or leopard gecko's for example? obviously they will have different incubation periods but is it safe to assume that pipping works on most species of reptile and not just snakes?

@Woodacus87 - I can't speak for anything other than ball pythons... to my knowledge, cutting lizard eggs is a VERY bad idea.

@Woodacus87 usually you wait untell the first one pips its head and then you cut thm incase they cant get out, there eggtooth breaks or a nuimber of things so they do not drown
