I disagree, I have used both and much prefer the Guitar Hero vocal engine, especially on Band Hero. The Rock Band vocal font is much too small for my liking.
Tidus is right on the slight pitch differences... BUT, on guitar hero the very bottom and very top of the pitch windows is almost never used. If you took away the window that isn't used then the charts would be virtuelly identical.
also, at 1:30 (and where ever the other one is) they charted the "Screamin', LET ME OUT!" wrong! They charted Bowie's (lower) part, not Freddie's (fun) part! Not fair.
On GH Vocals highways, there'll be always an unused space on the top and bottom, regardless of how high or low the note is.
It is better like this IMO. God knows how many "Strongs" I nabbed while singing the highest note of a song, mostly "Almost Easy", because of the unability to see the arrow at the very top of the RB highway under OD! o_O
Well it's the same vocal track so if they charted different pitches for the same part, someone would be charting incorrectly. What I find more interesting is that it's a call-and-answer, sometimes-overlapping, sometimes-harmonizing duet between two singers and for the most part they charted the exact same lyrics and transitions.
I may be wrong, but isn't Freddie's "LET ME OUT!" just an octave above Bowie's? If so, you're more than welcome to sing it Freddie-style and still get full credit.
The only song that I KNOW has notes that are only in different octaves is Bad Reputation. Other then that I have no idea. Whenever I play the song on my computor I always sing Freddie's "LET ME OUT!" and if they charted how I sing it... it would be a talky =D I have to bite the bullet and just sing how they charted.
I actually listened to this twice, such is the beauty. Could listen to it much more, especially on the long notes.
The charts just have slight pitch differences. As I can't buy DLC, I can only wonder how many tries I'd take to FC this song there. But all in all, an exceptionally magnificent singing. Been looking forward to an Under Pressure vid from you, Lammy! <3
Thanks as always! If you're fairly consistent at the GH5 chart then the RB2 version shouldn't give you much trouble, to be honest. I sightread FC'ed this song in RB2 because I'd already gone through the trouble of FC'ing it in GH5.
Oh man, I love this "why?" *-*

This has to be one of the hardest song for vocals in my opinion, but like usual you make it look and sound easy. Awesome job!
