I can say this, that since my first tribe shows till the most recent there is helluvah lot more bass. tribe is still awesome to me old school and new school.

its not even the music with STS9 which makes them great (and their music is awesome) its their whole STS9 family and fellowship that you see at their shows that makes them a show to remember. I've been to every show possible either when they com through town or the next state over. I have never once regretted seeing them.

Best chance is mid-summer while all the festies are going on. Lots of ppl bring stuff back with them. If not go to a show like this and there's a 75% chance it'll be there.
Really like the groove in this one after the 1:30 minute intro. This would be fun to play and you could go just about anywhere with it. Some of their stuff reminds me a little of old Tangerine Dream but much funkier, which I actually prefer.

STS9 is actually good electronica, because they play real instruments and actually have legit talent, other than just working with computers and technology. All of those bands master different styles of music, improv and make way more complex music than computer-made beats. Trey Anastasio of Phish writes very musically complicated logues, listen to You Enjoy Myself and you will see a perfect example.

saw them at lango, three nights in athens ga this year, then ga theater burned down, rip. going for another two in atlanta this summer, nothing like a tribe show the videos don't do them justice
