  • i salute u Hilary Grivich

  • RIP Hilary you will be missed!

  • RIP Hilary.

Who gives a fuck about her gymnastics?

  • Who gives a fuck on how well she did in the past! People should remember how good of a person she was and not how great she was. Let me give you gymnast some advice. Gymnastics can only go so far, and if you do decide to pursue the Olympic dream, don't forget to live life, because you don't know how long your career will be. Just leave Hillary alone and let her rest in peace.

  • Agree, but Hilary was a poor compulsary performer at Worlds and it may be that reason why she didnt make the team

  • Ok, I can't really comment on that because I didn't see her do compulosries at worlds. I've only heard that she was solid on beam and did the compolsory routine really well. I liked Wendy Bruce just as much as Hilary, so I didn't really care which one made the team. My statement on the title of the vid was just to inform people of what it was like back then.

  • Hilary did nothing on this routine, all of her handstands were off. She had one realize move and thats it. It deserved a 9.45. I dont see what the huge outcry was far. Didnt Kerri get like a 9.6 for her routine?

  • In a time when you didn't have to hit your handstands, it wasn't too bad for her. She got through it with no major breaks and that's about as much as she could have hoped for given her injury and considering this was by far her weakest event. Kerri's score was certainly too low for such a great routine.

  • Kerri Strug wasnt even close to a 9.6. Kerri Strug got a 9.875. Even if you think this routine was the worst of all 9 of those at these trials who were contenders for the team 4 or 5 available spots on the team (assuming 1 or 2 went to injured/absent Okino and Campi) a 9.45 would still be too low. If you thought this sucked give it a 9.65, that is very low for 92 scoring, and still would be the worst of all those 9. Her actual score was a 9.287, scandulously low, almost blatant cheating.

  • On the contrary, she was finally getting the scores she deserved. She just happened to be overscored earlier in her career. To quote a friend, a 2-D UB routine with no form or bodyline is not olympic, it's an embarrassment.

  • Like I said, it's all a matter of opnion. She may not have been a Shannon Miller, but she was excellent on beam. And for the record, I have nothing against Wendy Bruce. Thanks for your thoughts.

  • It's sad about the car accident, but she in NO way deserved to be on the 1992 team.

  • I think that's a matter of opinion. Many felt she should have and many felt she shouldn't have. There's no doubt that she was blatantly underscored at this meet. No her performances on bars and vault weren't her best due to her shoulder injury, but she shouldn't have been scored that low no matter what.

  • Her vault score of 9.7 was right. Her first vault was small and ugly with a small step. Her second vault was much bigger and nicer, but took a huge hop. I agree on bars that her score was scandulously low. However even if marked fairly she would have been only 5th or 6th at trials, just over Bruce. It wouldnt matter then. Kelly was left off the team in favor of Bruce since even though Kelly beat Bruce at trials Bruce was better for the team, and the same would have happened with Grivich.

  • I agree.

  • I was agreeing with Yernar by the way.
