If i'm a beginner at parkour.... i don't know what type of shoes should i buy , should i buy one for training? Or one for parkouring? Or perhaps just one pair of shoes will do? By the way, how many times must i do this per week?
@NzSumzN You really just need some running shoes that are light, and have good traction. It is recommended to stay away from shoes with hard plastic soles, because they tend to break off give poor traction. I personally run in "Skate shoes" because they've got great traction, and survive the wear and tear quite well. As for how many times? Probably start with 2-3 times a week, if you like it, add more days as you progress. Experiment and find what works for you.
@super321ism you dont need to sprint, this will come if you go running 3/week. (more if you want)
start with basics, precisions,vaults,..... and keep doing these things, and after a while try some harder things (dont do big jumps.). this is the only way to become better and you'll see you get fitter after a while, but its also good to do pushups,....
Oh man, Hawaii must be the greatest parkour place in the world. I live in Sweden and there are some great places to do parkour in the SUMMER, but as soon as it gets colder you have to wear more clothes and everything gets covered by snow and stuff =( If I could do that every day I would be... well, I would be a better traceur =)
Well bro training in snow is useful beacuse you need to prepare you're body in that kind of situations. What do you know shit may happen when its snow and you can use parkour to help you
well, i guess you're right but my traceur-heart is sad when it's cold and glad when the summer is here again =) btw if you're being chased or something when it's snow outside your chaser will be in the same situation, and if you have to make a high drop for some reason... well then you really can't complain about the snow!
@11000010101 Ye you right but something may happen and the situation turn on his side so...If you're body is prepare'd for parkour on snow you have bigger chanse, also if you being chase'd the guy may just may be prepar'd for the situation!
Yeah but what I tried to say was that snow isn't that different and with some common sense you should be able to adapt to the situation... but of course i don't stop training because its a little bit colder outside!
assumin you're completely startin out fresh, start with bodyweight only - pushups, pullups etc, get good at those first. there's loadsa info on the net if you look in the right places. train hard and intense.
im sorta scared to do a kong jump 4 sum reason casue the other day i bailed of a brick wall pretty high and FUCKED MY LEG UP SUM GOOD ONES NOW IM SCARED TO DO IT SUM ONE WITH PARKOUR SKILLZ HELP
the best advice i can give for you is to recover from your leg accident and just keep practicing suet de chats, then move onto doing it on something not as wide then wider wider. BOS(best of skills) :)
its nice that where you guys live nobody is nagging or scolding you that you could break something or get the walls dirty, GOD!!! the people that are where i do this suck so much!!!!!!!!! all they dont know im doing is practicing my vaulting, cat leaps and other stuff that dont involve wall, and im REALLY good at wallrunning/climbing!!
Do you knees ever hurt you when you train? When I practice precision jumping my knees hurt a lot. I am working out my legs to try and reduce the pain by making them stronger, and I am landing without trying to have a lot of pressure on my knees. Any other tips? Thanks
Well my foot lands on the ball and as I relax it rolls onto the rest of the foot so the entire foot is on the ground. It's a combination of both, considering you use different parts of your feet when walking, running and jumping.
That's actually something I've never thought about. Thanks ! Snowing right now, UK's such a funny weather ball. But heck, lets see what basics I can manage in the snow.
the problem with winter is that you´ll probably get cold and wile cold you have MUCH more risks about hurting you limbs. training in winter is fani just dont do that heavy things for you knees and so on ;)
but seriously, its about working graduatly, step by step to reach your goal, if you think a jump is too much for you to handle, try smaller, similar jumps untill you gain confidence.
ooo, looky. Another comment. Here I am making myself look big. Here, let's end it. I'll let you have this. The perserverance of the 14 year-old is unshakeable. Just post a reply saying you won. Not making myself look big here. Just trying to get you to stop filling up my e-mail inbox.(Which is how I know when I get a comment. It pops up in the corner.)
I was merely pointing out he had the wrong address. And to yautuberr, I'm scared, yet I sent you my address and your talking like your hotshit. Haha, the worlds full of hypocrites.
Hmmm, I'm the faggot when you come on here acting like a tough guy when you're probably 10 years old on your dad's computer. Ya' know what, I'm actually gettin' kinda bored replying to you every 10 seconds. If you wanna talk, you can come to me like you threatened to do. But for now, conversations over.
Haha, alright. 5101 Ryan Circle. Abilene,TX. 79606 is my zipcode. Come here, you won't do anything. You think you're tough because you can say bad words on the internet. Come track me down. Let's see what you got.
How is that having a bitchfit? I asked a question. I actually do have a life. I watch parkour/freerunning vids on here to compare them to mine, and to learn from them. I do parkour in my freetime. I know how to admit I'm wrong. I just don't think I am in this particular case.
I actually did look it up. Your name was not mentioned anywhere.Especially not near Sebastian Foucan. I also went to translate parkour from French-to-English. Parkour=Parkour. Don't bitch me out, I'm just stating.
That is really tight... lol. Yea, PK and FR are the same thing, different name. I trained with Dan Edwardes last week and he said the exact same thing. I'm pretty sure freerunning was coined when it was introduced to the English audience. It's still the same thing though.
I have read many things on these subjects. Parkour (as I have read this may not be interpreted as fact) is about getting to your destination as efficiently as possible, it is about flow not speed. Free-running is having fun with the way the world works by often doing tricks like flips off of objects but both are unique to each person. You choose your own path.
im sorry but your wrong. Free-running is a term invented by a french guy named sebatian foucan who also co founded parkour. A french, not american. and free running is a term describing sebastians way of doing parkour. free running is more to the aesthetics, dat means more show off moves, which are really cool .and parkour is the most efficient way without all the flips.
i really want to do parkour i do alot of running but i know thats not much so what should i do that will get me started and one more thing what is the diffrence between parkour and freerunning is parkour getting from getting to point a to point b and freerunning just tricking of an object? plz ppl answer these questions
I've just begun a couple days ago, been trying to get the tic tac with my right leg down pat, but it just won't... flow. Most of the basic moves come naturally, but kudos to you for becoming so fluent in your movements by yourself.
WOW! Those spots are amazing, so beautiful, so many stuff to do, basically no people around! Gotta find something like that near my place. When you train parkour, do you go far from your home ?
wow nice vid and so many places to practice. lol i live in most boring part of ottawa with like flat areas everywhere and i go to downtown to practice
Nice to see that ankle healed up just fine Ozzi. I got my first back tucks since my injury last week. It's such a relief to be able to be yourself once again! Great vid bro.
Ankle is about 89% back, still weak and gets stressed after a day like this. But today I went to the gym and did some barefoot flips and it felt good, so as long as I pamper it, I think I will keep healing fast. Thanks bro.
I was thinking on doing some at the second spot in the vid. There is some gravel on the inside of the rail. I gotta see how that feels. But it is something I have been wanting to do.
