All of the Mel Gibson hatred that abounds, the man is an INCREDIBLY talented actor. For God's sake, we forgave Marlin Brando for being a complete eccentric lunatic, and enjoyed him for the gift that he had. We forgive Nick Nolte for drinking and bathing in his own piss. We even forgave (sorta) Michael Jackson for being a plasticine pedophile. Can't we stop expecting our entertainers to be our societal barometers and appreciate them for what they REALLY are - actors and entertainers? RIP Heath.
The difference is that Heath (bless him) came from where I live (Western Australia) and had no nasty agenda! Mel twat Gibson is doing his best to put the British down in most movies he makes! That is the difference! FUCK OFF MEL and have another 7 children because you can't use birth control!
I was getting my hair done last week and this was playing on the salon's radio. All I could see while my eyes were closed was this work of art. Thank you, Heathaddict79, for your great effort.
@titaniclady1 Thank you so much. You have no idea how much your words mean to me, especially now. When I did this video I wanted to sort of promote Heath's amazing talent, but it never crossed my mind that it will turn into a tribute. I'm still deeply saddened by his passing. R.I.P, Heath.
wow i watched this movie for history class and me and my friend were like obsessed with edward cullen and now this movie just made us obsess over heath Ledger in this
Great Job. I really don't like this movie but this video is awesome. I love how you intertwined this video with thomas' death. It was very clever. I also loved how you based it on gabriel. I'm glad you did. Thanks for making this :]
@narniafreak26 Thank You. I also read somewhere, that the title of the movie refers in fact to Gabriel, the character played by Heath Ledger. Because he was a true patriot as portrayed in the film. So this was another reason for me to do this video. Thanks for your appreciation. Means a lot.
Oh my, this is beautifully well done. Such a strong, heartfelt passion of all those lone causes from The American Revolution. This movie has a second sense, of all those who died for a greater cause then wish to be, because they fought full their dream and cared for that sacred ideal of a New World, in which to call their home. A home to call home, is a place to bandaged the wounded fragment of a heart and keep it away from pain ever again, for all enternity...
I haven't seen all of the movie, but the parts I have seen I enjoyed so much. I missed the part were Gabriel died..but have seen it on yt...I've cried so much from this movie...and to realize I'm going to cry even more when I watch all of it is unimaginable. Heath was a talented actor, a breathtaking young man, and sounded like a wonderful man. He will always be in my heart, and remembered always. Thanks for posting this, it gives me a chance to see him again. We miss you Heath.
This is such a good movie..It's amazing how it really will touch you. boy or girl. I love your vid and song-it was very well put together. We are really very lucky.
You made cry... that was an amazing video. Heath will surely be remebered for his many fantastic movies, but this one was great. Such emotion in such a young actor.
when my hubby and I had rented it, we were amazed at this actor, this guy called Heath Ledger!! Little did we know, one day, he would be one of the best, most talented, and RAW actors,of his generation. I saw almost all of his movies, except Lords of Dogtown, and candy, and I'm not there, but we were so amazed at this guy's talent. I still cry.
I am just coming to terms with his passing...He gave us such a great gift...He will never be forgotten...I thank God he was born and he came to the United States otherwise we would not have had him in our hearts and our lives. I will continue to pray for his family and friends to honor him.
Thank you. Remarkable talent Heath had, he touched my heart in this movie. I gained a great respect for him after this movie. His character gave back to me a sense of patriotism when I was grieving over 9/11. I am crying now...TY
Thank you so much guys!At that time,I just wanted people to see what a great actor he was and how underrated...the funny thing is that it felt painful doing it even then!(maybe cuz of the story of the movie).
The Patriot is when I was first introduced to young Heath Ledger - and was by far my favorite of his movies. Thank you so much for putting this together - at the time, you had no idea how much it would mean to so many people.
Heath: You left us too young - but what a legacy. You are loved and are missed more than you can know....RIP
@reagangal You're welcome. That's exactly the way I became a fan too. I feel the same way. It's been 2 years(soon 3 years) and I can almost feel the pain I felt when I heard the news about his passing. Forever in our hearts, R.I.P Heath.
Can you see all of us crying from Heaven? You have left us too soon and now it hurts. Real tears flowing down as if you were a part of our family. Your movies touched us and these tributes just remind us how much you are missed. God bless your family and may God heal their hearts.
My heart has broken into millions of pieces and everything inside me hurts! He didn't even had time to prove more to others(cause I always knew he was the best actor in this senseless world!)I'll never forget you and what a great person you were or your incredible talent !You taught many so-called actors an acting lesson! You'll be so missed!
Everyone dies, we all have our day, this we can not escape, so live and live like today is the last day, celebrate his life by living yours in the best way you possibly can. Find comfort in that!!!!!!!
Thanks very much ranbr2007 !I'm so pleased that you liked it....I did the video so that it express the way I felt when I first saw it!I hope you liked the movie as well!I personally admire Mel Gibson as an actor and director ,but most of all Heath for his talent and courage!

To bad Mel Gibson in real life is really the opposite for who he plays in that movie. In real life Mel Gibson is a dirty Jesuit-Opus dei. His satanic cult is bent on destroying America and replaceing our constitution & common laws with Romes Canon Laws.
First of:why would I like seeing America defeating the english?I'm not a fan of America at all!I'm from Romania ...if you ever heard of this country...anyway..I don't wanna waste my time arguing...the movie was great and the actors were great, end of story.Oh...and thanks for backing me up happypunk13,I appreciate that!
Man,you are in title to a different opinion and you can say whatever you want about the movie but the acting part. The actors were magnificent and did a great job!
Thanks for enjoying my little tribute guys! For leviath40:I'm really honoured that you consider my vid a tribute to your country too!At first I didn't think the vid was good enough but now you made me have second thoughts...Merci Beaucoup!
I love this film..i love this song...perfect job man !! Great tribute to those who lost their lives in this war for american independance, tribute to my country too (france) that helped you in your heroic fight !
Thanks very much for your comment.I really apreciate the gesture. And,yeah I cry too at that part...that's the main reason why I didn't add the scene to my vid.

To bad Mel Gibson in real life is really the opposite for who he plays in that movie. In real life Mel Gibson is a dirty Jesuit-Opus dei. His satanic cult is bent on destroying America and replaceing our constitution & common laws with Romes Canon Laws.
