@Roadracer987654321, actually, Martin Landau was not fired from Mission: Impossible. Further, he was asked by various people involved with the show to return to the series for season four. It was his choice not to return for whatever unfortunate reason.

recently bought Mission Impossible, Seasons 1-3, I'm having a great time watching this wonderful TV show with these two very distinguish actors. Martin Landau is a wonderful actor. My favorite character of the series is Rollin Hand.

I'm glad you're enjoying one of the greatest series of all time! Even though seasons 4 and 5 were sans Rollin and Cinnamon, they are still absolutely terrific. Try to catch those episodes too if you can. Do you have a favorite episode? I am partial to "The Legacy" from Season One, "The Emerald" from Season Two, and "The Cardinal" from Season Three. Peter Graves said that his favorite was "The Mind of Stefan Miklos" from Season Three, which is one of Martin Landau's finest hours on the show.

Little late to respond to this comment, but I shall anyhow...hmm, which episode would be my fave...well, I seem to have a favorite episode in every season! :D First season's fave episode would be...what's it called...I think 'The Cater' or something? And then in season 4, my favorite episode is 'My Friend, My Enemy'. But then again, all the episodes are brilliant! :)))

@dseanmat I'd have to say as a Marty fan...my fav of Martin was the Execution...hands down....his character awaiting execution should have won him the Emmy hands down that year!! The Exchange or Illusion...my fav's of Cinnamon...Nicole for jim.....Mission was a freat tv series...I'm glad to have found a fellow fan! As for this tribute! Girl...you nailed the song with the images...5 stars!!

@cinnamonnut You're right, that was not only one of his finest hours on the series, I personally think it raised the bar higher for television acting. It was a genuinely gutsy peformance, the thespian equivalent of performing a high-wire act without a safety net. I really enjoyed your last two posts, and would like to contribute a lineup of characters along with my take on their best episodes, so here goes:

@dseanmat And of course, the one and only Jim Phelps: I would agree with you again, "Nicole" is a great hour for him, but I think my favorite for his character would be "Decoy" from Season Five, where we have the standard heroics we expect from this stalwart character, but (as in "Nicole") he shows some rare romantic vulnerability. The final scene is one of the most poignant for this character.

@dseanmat to be honest...i have yet to see the other seasons of mission without my fav stars ( BBML)...but I do own it....my fav for cinnamon would have to be the Exchange......on the edge of my seat for that one....but The Illusion would be a close second. The Town and The Killing were 2 great episodes for the cast. I will check out your choices for the rest of the seasons now that you have peaked my curiosity! Thanks for the banter...this was fun!

Great job! Jim Phelps was GORGEOUS!! But my heart is still with Rollin! And my idol will always be Cinnamon!! So keep them coming SeniorAgent...(great name by the way!!)....Mission Impossible was the best!!!
