yess :) Proud to be canadien and Québécois, Fier d'être Canadien, Québecois
My grand mother had parkinson too and i know what it is i've seen her and i know what it does , mickeal J fox is an inspiration i mean created a fondation for parkinson make all the effort he has done so far thats just amazing :) Love you Mickeal :D Thanks you
This closing ceremony was a joke. I laughed so hard when I watched it live. Canada gets made fun of so much that they had to get celebrities made popular in America to go back and claim them. Seemed sort of desperate to me. Just my opinion.
@MattF180 wow, that is got to be the stupidest thing i ever heard....I know the stereotype of americans is that they are dumb as shit, but godamm son, you take the cake...Did you ever read how dumb of statement you just wrote?
@JBomber22 I didn't have to read it again because I'm the one who wrote it dip shit. See, I really like MJF and I am a big fan of his and have been since I was a kid. However I really wish he didn't speak at this ceremony because I honestly thought it looked like a desperate ploy to show the world that Canada is relevant.
@MattF180 i know you wrote it did shit..desperate ploy??..and you came to that conclusion because MJF spoke at the ceremonies??..did you even bother to check to see that the man who directed the closing ceremonies is a hollywood producer/director and prolly chose actors since he knows they can handle somethin like that, and you realize there was more to the ceremonies than this right?...so answer me this, if the US did the closing ceremonies, then how would they show that they are relevant???
Why do canadians make fun of america. I mean, I visited canada on febuary and the american flag Had all The toy companies replaced with the stars. LOL
Mike's PD has nothing to do with his pronounciation of the word "sorry"...In Canada they have a tendency to say "sohrry" instead of "SAW-rry". If you watch the "Anne of Green Gables" you'll see Gilbert saying "sohrry". Also in "How I Met Your Mother", Robin (btw Cobie smulders is in real life Canadian) says "Soh-rry in this Deborah Gibson/Tiffany-like music video she did as a teen in Canada.
@kirant - I agree with you! It doesn't matter how much time he spent in US, he was born in Canada and he doesn't forget it, even more - he's proud to be a Canadian. Well, I'm not a Canadian, but I think it's good to not to forget where are you from. It just shows who we really are and what's important to us. Well, it's just my silly thoughts. :) anyway - I grew up with his movies and I still think he's the best actor! ^^
before you call me a clown, I have known about MJF's parkinsons since 1998, when he revealed it to the public. I also know that he first experienced symptoms during the filming of "Doc Hollywood" in 1991.
haha he still says "Sohrry". I thought his pronouciation would become more Americanized after 31 years in the US.
Peter Jennings (RIP) had to learn to change some of his pronounciations and terminology when he joined ABC news. Sigh, he would have enjoyed this closing ceremony.
Oh Btw, on Family Ties, you'll hear him saying "soh-rry", 'tomoh-rrow", "boh-rrow". I never heard him say "aboot".
Peter Jennings was using a lot of the Canadian pronounciations when he first joined ABC in the 60s. He was also saying "leftnant" instead of "lieutenant" (Remember Canadian English is more like British English)
