I was a background painter on the remake of Monkey Island 2. I thought it came together quite well! I will be the first to admit that there is definitely something about those classic graphics that simply gets lost in higher resolutions and more detail (despite my best efforts). But the new version has a unique charm as well. Really really cool to be able to re-live my childhood through the remake!

@SiIverGriever if you want a whole new adventure i recommend tales of monkey island they are like 5 or 6 chapters, because the other one is monkey island 1 with new filters and 2D graphics but still GREAT is like playing monkey island's story with monkey island 3's graphics or something like that. (I never played Monkey Island Special Edition). You do what you want but I ended the whole Tales of Monkey Island Saga and end satisfied :)

This remake adds so much help to the player it is unbelievable. When you hover over an item, particularly in the console versions, it gives you the most useful options. So basically you hover over an item and the game tells you what to do e,g whether you should grab the item. I remember the days when I played this(The original) (Many years ago) and spent hours wandering what to do with items. Do today's gamers really need that much help......use your brains!!!!!!!!!!! Great remake, can not wait!

I picked up the first one on PSN when it came out just out of pure wonderment i heard of it a while back amazed to say even at 20 years old the first one is one of if not the funniest games i have ever played, brilliantly done well worth £8. I cant wait for this to hit PSN on the 6th or 7th. Wow! Looks amazing. Glad in this edition you can use the voice over with the old school graphics. Thats my one gripe with the first one.
