  • Lmao, I know why you all think this should be in Rocky Horrror: the first time I ever heard this song, I thought, "Okay, I just know these guys dress like women". And while they don't exactly, they are very campy and glam looking :)

  • Im 10 and LOVE this song!!!

  • @ducklover44 haha how times are changing. when i was ten i loved this song as well but i was sitting in front of my father's old record player not in front of youtube :) nice kid though. we need more like you!

  • uhhh hhhuuhhhh .........yeah!

  • Sorry, but the Wayne's World rendition of this was disgusting.

  • I remember this song on my high school juke box even though i went to hs from 76-80 so it was on there for at least 5 years. Talk about staying power, great time to be a teenager back in the late 70's

  • woooo!!!

  • Richard Saar pwough pwough pwough pwough pwough pwough pwough pwough pwough pwough pwough pwough pwough pwough. Meeaauu dat to pleeaauu ni dat to me

  • And in excellent quality. Huzzah.

  • I agree, this should have been in the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Just Awsome.

  • It seems like every time this radio is playing when I wake up I have an amazing day, it's happened 3 times.

  • Anyone who doesn't know this song is a pansy-ass, Lady Gaga, Bieber, whats his face fuck-stick!!

  • Why dont they play this at the school dance during the prom?!........ WHYYY?!

  • Idk y but I Love this song still!

  • Yes I agree very much a theatrical song and was thinking the same thing...I think of the Rocky Horror Picture Show when I hear this... ;-D

  • @LauraAlmostFunner

Funny . . . I can't quite recall what the hell I was doing or where the hell I was, the very first time I heard this song! I remember some Mad Dog and an entire bottle of Tequila, and that's where it ends.

  • This is still a BAD ASS tune!!!!

  • I remember singing this on rockband or guitar hero.

  • the beginnig of this song is in grown ups. just realized that

  • TWATS

  • This song is sweet :)

  • Бомба-а-а

  • SO SO SO SO SOOOOOOOOO FKN SAWEEEEEET WHEN TH DJ DROPt TH NEEDLE ON THIS!

  • dancing in my seat moment~

  • Those DRUMMMSSSS.

  • @jessepajo

you too!? i can't stand the chorus of ballroom blitz but i listen just for the percussion; there's something about the rhythm on this song...

  • Why isn't there any good music like this anymore?

  • How can you not like this song?

  • This song reminds me of the Wayne's World movie.

  • Doesn't matter when you were born--this is classic!

  • Yes!!!!!!!!!! I finally find the song of my childhood!!! (Not actually... I'm 19, but my father used to play this song in the car, and I love it ^^)

  • hi im 3 and i hate music of today nuff said now wheres my milk??

  • @AlexMc240 ???

  • Basically, this chick is driving him nuts and he has this dream about this chick telling him it will all turn into a ballroom blitz, so get out of that relationship.

  • I was 16 in the 70's and let me say........ ummmm ........wait what was the question?

  • I was born in '94. This song is 21 years older than me, and I FUCKING LOVE IT. <3

  • this song will forever kickass

  • its cause of this dang rap crap

  • Man, there is more music today than at any time ever... you just have to look for it now. The A&R people don't choose them for us anymore - and that's a good thing. Don't get all "the music is dead man!" cuz it ain't. Don't mean I don't still love the old stuff tho...

  • Why unavailable on mobile? Fuck that, "THE SWEET" would not stand for censorship and neither should we!!

  • I love it!!!!!!!

  • TOCARA SUBIR EL VIDEO DE ESTA SUPER CANCION FULL HD POR QUE NO REGISTRA ESTA GENIAL BANDA UN VIDEO EXELENTE DE ESTE TEMA ..... PARA TERMINAR THE SWEET LO MAXIMO ...........

  • This is soooooo SWEET!!!!!I don't know why, but always thought this should have been in the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

  • @KevinAnthonyB .. that actually does seem reasonable...

  • @KevinAnthonyB Now that you mention it, it should have been in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I don't know what scene, but I can think of a few :)

  • @KevinAnthonyB it would fit in so well!

  • Dagon - don't worry about the old-ass haters out there. You know why so people your age like music made in the 70s/80s? Besides having a bit of good taste, it's because the music out today pretty much sucks!

  • @BKrywko1 So true BKry, music has lost it's meaning today. It's no longer a work of art. There is only a handful of alternative artists who I now call true musicians in today's music.

  • I wanted to listen to this again after seeing the character Cassandra on Wayne's World cover this. hhnnnggggzzz

  • I was living with a musician whose band covered this, so that makes me older than you. Do I care? No! I am GLAD that you enjoy this music! Music is for everyone, no matter what age! Ignore the old farts that criticize you - they are probably jealous that you are still young.

  • wowwww! what a song! I LOVE THEM !

  • shaun white?rockband?thanks for introducing me to this song >:D

  • everyone knows that the girrafe isa vampires natural enemy the neck gives it away

  • 2:07 to 2:12 perhaps the most pointless lyrics in music. But it's still a great song

  • Kevinberry> you are correct, it does sound like it should be in that movie

  • great song from a totally great album. Not a bad song on the boulevard.

  • I was 16 back in the late 70's I love the music back then. And so does my 6 yr old daughter.

  • epic!

  • iLoveh This Sonqq !

  • Luv Luv Luv the energy of this song...and band !

  • I'm a 90s boy, but I love the music of the past, especially this number here. Very classic song.

  • this song is genius

  • I just want to dance...... Brit reporting in......... love Sweet.

  • YEAH YEAH YEAH....GOOD OLD TUNES REMINDS ME OF THE BUSH PARTY DAYS ,

  • loved my era of music.....im 52 and i saw all the great ones...........aerosmith.....vanhalen.......etc

  • I would've never found this song if it weren't for Wayne's World. It's also featured in Quentin Tarantino's 16mm short, "My Best Friend's Birthday."

  • chose your own tast I think ity is cool i am older

  • Who are you to tell me anything? Go back to school little boy...

  • I was seven when this came out! first concert was kiss and cheaptrick in 1976 old school for sure!!!!!!!!!

  • @coonbasher96 you need to stfu before you get beat up. Clearly you've never heard real music before, I'm a teenager and I listen to The Rolling Stones, The Ramones, Sweet, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, ZZ Top, etc. And they were all famous 20-30 years before I was born for christ's sake! But why should you care, your probably just jacking off to a picture of justin beiber...

  • there was shit back then, just like there's shit now. what sucked back then sucks now. no era was exclusively made of good music, you just don't remember the bad. give it 20 years; all that will be remembered from the 2000s will be "Golden Rock" as well.

  • Why are all these old people criticizing me for not being alive in the 70's? Can't I love this song and still have been born in the 90's?

  • @dagoncrowgg You may have been born in the 90's but at least it sounds like you have an ear for great music no matter what decade it's from and for that I salute you! You are a rarity!

Most of the music of the 90's was crap! In addition to that, that's what most of the people of your generation only know. I grew up in the 80's and that decade as well as the 50's 60's &70's had some great music. The 90's to me was just depressing, angst, misery & doom 'n gloom...that's just my opinion!

  • @dagoncrowgg i agree!!

  • @dagoncrowgg i think this song i think stands the sands of time. i could see a band putting it out now. it reminds me of the darkness i believe in a thing called love. i good song is ageless and anyone who hears it regardless of age can enjoy it. they are jealous of your youth ; - D

  • @dagoncrowgg I was living with a musician whose band covered this, so that makes me older than you. Do I care? No! I am GLAD that you enjoy this music! Music is for everyone, no matter what age! Ignore the old farts that criticize you - they are probably jealous that you are still young.

  • @dagoncrowgg It's kind of boring when in every 70s/80s clip someone born in the 90s go "I wish I was born or alive in that period."

We get it, you like it and you can still love it no matter what decade your from. Just don't have to go "I wish I was .... in that time."

  • @dagoncrowgg Much agreed. They should be encouraging and supporting the young people who like this music. The Ke$ha generation of music is awful.

  • @dagoncrowgg Music is completely bullshit today. 70's music will always be the best for me plus all the 50's n 60's stuff. Your talkin' to a proper rocker 'ere, rock on.

  • @showaddywaddyfan i find ppl who claim to be all rock N roll etc tend to be phony.

  • @NYCPulpHero me phony? why?

  • @dagoncrowgg You said it here, man!

  • @dagoncrowgg Fuck yes you can. I wasnt even born in the 70's and I love it also. 1985 for me lol

  • @dagoncrowgg Yes!!!!! Also, can I love my rock and roll without the statistic "92% of teenagers listen to crap music! Thumbs up if you're one of the 8% who like real music! DON'T LET ROCK MUSIC DIE!" being shoved down my fucking throat?!

  • @dagoncrowgg you sure can! I was born in the 90's and only listen mostly to music that's older than me !

  • I was sooooo lucky these songs were hits when I was young :0) what times we had.

  • @LawrenceLugar1 This song became popular again in the mid 90's due to the movie Wayne's World.

  • I love this song, but I don't see the need to tear down today's music to validate it's worth. I LOVE the music from the 60's and 70's, but I am capable of enjoying music from the present as well as the past. Some of the best music of today, which is just as quality as music of the 70's, is not found on mainstream radio. Music is still alive today and to criticize all music based on what you hear on the radio is quite ignorant and lazy.

  • maybe 16 never saw Wayne's World? :P

  • @hafaball haha your missing out its a good funny movie go check it out both 1 and 2

  • @nickstermadman lol no I meant the people who put dislikes :D

  • @hafaball oh haha, dude i love your pic Chaplin is awsome is that from modern times?

  • @nickstermadman Thanks :D It's City Lights. Great movie. I put a clip of it in one of my videos :)

  • Ok, for one, I like this song, thats why im here. But really, everyone saying 'if everything was great like back then'. Yeah you can tell this was soooo good, all of 214k hits.

  • 16 people think they're the passionate one.

  • We all went crazy when we first heard this on the radio in the early 70's. It is still a fun song to sing at the top of your lungs!

  • this song is like...oxygen :)

  • i was 6 years old when this song came out and i LOVED it !!

  • I just read an article on Yahoo News about the utterly dismal state of the music business now, about how even big-name artists are having a tough time and sales are way down for all CD's. Did anyone stop to consider if we had really good music coming out nowadays, stuff more like this and all those other awesome tunes from the 70's and 80's, maybe the music biz wouldn't be such a lost cause. As it is, here we are, stuck with the likes of Lady Gag-me! Makes me yearn for yesteryear.

  • this song is so awesome! i love jammin out to this as i drive :) i turn this baby up! :)

  • Great song. END OF STORY. Stop with this senseless fuckery. You're all a bunch of naive little teenagers fighting over who's right and who's wrong. Now, get off your lazy asses and do something important... Oh, and shut the fuck up !

  • Awesome the response to this! Like or Hate, this was my music back then. Had some punks try to break into my garage 2 days ago. Heard this (yes, somewhat loud), with me coming out the back door. Gave me a lot of crap (as happens regularly it seems, never same guys though) and saw I meant business with this playing in background and ran. I'm 52 but this music lets me know... you don't accept S... from anyone.

  • not my decade,( born a little late) but I LOVE it!!.... fraking beautiful!!.. to me this is music!! :)

  • This song makes no sense whatsoever. But it's still great.

  • @don417 I feel like it has something do with those legends of the devil coming to ballroom dances and this girl ghost who in chicago goes to a dancing hall and when someone gives her a ride home she vanishes. IDK that's my opinion of what this song is about

  • @coonbasher96 *you're.

  • oh geez you guys are so cool fighting on youtube

  • @coonbasher96 - Go count your pubes hater....

  • @coonbasher96 - oh little boy - go play your warcraft and twit your bff's - you little terds will never know real music - by the way, Sweet is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - just so you know son...go run over hookers in your video games and leave the real music to those that built the foundation for your beibers and gagas...without bands like this, you'd have nothing...

  • @er6789er i play warcraft lol

  • @er6789er

  • @PvtRichardCranium you are the stupid bitch.wha you doin sayin shit like that to me,you STUPID BITCH!

  • @Doromar80 I know what you mean. I would give all of the technology up just to have been 16 in the 70's. back when arcades were still in their prime and music was still fcking awesome

  • @dogboy12457 Perfect 70's stuff. Solid as a rock.

  • @dogboy12457 I am almost 20 now and thought the same thing. I was obsessed with anything that was old, it just seemed so much cooler. Then as I got a little older, I realized that it wasn't that old music was better its just that Pop music sucks! It was not good back then, and its so much worse today. But there is still some great music coming out. Look up the band the Black Keys, or Sebadoh, or The Flaming Lips. You just have to find the good stuff now-a-days. But thats what makes it fun!

  • @dogboy12457 It was a really good time (I was born in 1957) but there are still good times, no? I can say it was totally awesome, but I was young and when you are young, everything is totally awesome - LOL!

  • @dogboy12457 arcades? 70's? hope you really enjoy pinball and ms. pac man. late 80's had it.

  • @dogboy12457 arcades in the 70's??? Well yeah if you like pinball machines lol. Arcades were in the prime late 80's-90's....remember street fighter 2 and mortal kombat lol

  • @dogboy12457 i was 16 in the seventies it was pretty cool we went the world series of rock 4 bands 10 dollars a ticket, i saw ted nugent play for two hours strait cause aerosmith never showed up, ted is loud he sings his ass off those guys went to work on those stages, in the rain it didnt matter, ever see 80,000 people stoned it was a massive party on the field you didnt go to a concert you were part of the concert i wish everyone could experience at least one of those shows they were awesome

  • Amen er6789er, In 1973 was the first year of the Super Duty Trans Am,A mid 13 second car for around $4200.00 bucks, I will take mine in bruster green. Rock On ...... Great Song!

    Gotta love the Blitz.

  • kinda remember getting high and playing pinball while this was on the jukebox....

  • @keymankeys1960 >OMG a real hippie man! I was 2 years old when this came out!

  • I cant believe I first heard this song from the band Krokus. This original version is much better.

  • I don't know why, but somehow I 'remember' this song from listening to it when I was little...but I'm only 13. But this song is great. Mainstream stuff here in America really sucks these days, too. Everyone is obsessed with bands and singers...I like this song a lot, but my favorite band is always going to be Gorillaz.

  • @GhostiVanille kill yourself...

  • @UFCfanboy7898 Uh, no thank you?

  • Shit in 1973 I used to Skate Backward's to this song At the rink On friday night's. Dang !!!!!

  • @karensuewalker jesus christ man!!!!! do you know how amazing that is?!?!?

  • This is Golden Rock -Just remember where the latest music came from - Screw you little punks with your nasty remarks - Ask your parents about how hard it was to stand up for this music - It was a lot harder to get into the mainstream than you guys have today - We didn't have YouTube or Twitter or Facebook - We did this shit on our own with the pure might of fellowship and belief in our cause - Just suck on that nip for awhile youngins...

  • @er6789er .. LOL - you TELL 'em, er6789er ...

  • @er6789er been a while since ive heard anything as good as what you just said buddy :)

  • @er6789er Not all of us "youngins" are little punks i am about to turn 18 but most of my favorite bands are before my time sure my fav is from the 00's but i love old bands like Led Zeppelin, Excel, the Doors, The Cure is my second favorite. Before you judge one whole group of people please remember that although most of the kids of my generation are complete moron's there are some that appreciate the old bands infact i am inspired to be a bassist because of John Paul Jones, and Matthew Freeway
