I love this song, but I don't see the need to tear down today's music to validate it's worth. I LOVE the music from the 60's and 70's, but I am capable of enjoying music from the present as well as the past. Some of the best music of today, which is just as quality as music of the 70's, is not found on mainstream radio. Music is still alive today and to criticize all music based on what you hear on the radio is quite ignorant and lazy.

Awesome the response to this! Like or Hate, this was my music back then. Had some punks try to break into my garage 2 days ago. Heard this (yes, somewhat loud), with me coming out the back door. @dogboy12457 I am almost 20 now and thought the same thing. I was obsessed with anything that was old, it just seemed so much cooler. Then as I got a little older, I realized that it wasn't that old music was better its just that Pop music sucks! It was not good back then, and its so much worse today. But there is still some great music coming out. Look up the band the Black Keys, or Sebadoh, or The Flaming Lips. You just have to find the good stuff now-a-days. But thats what makes it fun!

@dogboy12457 I am almost 20 now and thought the same thing. I was obsessed with anything that was old, it just seemed so much cooler. Then as I got a little older, I realized that it wasn't that old music was better its just that Pop music sucks! It was not good back then, and its so much worse today. But there is still some great music coming out. Look up the band the Black Keys, or Sebadoh, or The Flaming Lips. You just have to find the good stuff now-a-days. But thats what makes it fun!

@dogboy12457 i was 16 in the seventies it was pretty cool we went the world series of rock 4 bands 10 dollars a ticket, i saw ted nugent play for two hours strait cause aerosmith never showed up, ted is loud he sings his ass off those guys went to work on those stages, in the rain it didnt matter, ever see 80,000 people stoned it was a massive party on the field you didnt go to a concert you were part of the concert i wish everyone could experience at least one of those shows they were awesome

I don't know why, but somehow I 'remember' this song from listening to it when I was little...but I'm only 13. But this song is great. Mainstream stuff here in America really sucks these days, too. Everyone is obsessed with bands and singers...I like this song a lot, but my favorite band is always going to be Gorillaz.
