  • What I like most about Marcos Valle is the way he has taken bossa nova to the next level, with his driving percussives, and idiosyncratic melodies, combined with his rock solid musical skill. What a joy. And me, listening to the bossa nova "old guard" (Gilberto/Jobim, etc) lo these many years and thinking, that was ALL THERE WAS? No way! Stratospherically cool.
