  • Enjoyed that. I have posted my own attempt, which only my third YT posting!

  • I think the most beautiful organ we have here. It's a pity it only last for 48 seconds..

Thanx for sharing! Grtz from Holland

  • You like organ music, I play organ music, I like organ music too!

  • The pipe organ was THE machine of the 17th and 18th centuries as was the steam locomotive to the 19th century and the nuclear power plant to the 20th century. I wonder what will the 21st century bring as its contribution to this genre?

  • What a shame this ends so quickly..........

  • A beautiful, light-filled church with a grand instrument which commands rapt musical attention.

  • ist das das Mittelschiff?

  • ooops, not Schnitger, Christian Müller!!!

  • This is the only organ which still has the original 32' Pipes of Schnitger

  • Dear 2lipsonmy0rgan,

You are wrong, that organ is in The Martinikerk Groningen, Netherlands. Look here on Youtube - Jürgen Ahrend talks about the Martinikerk pipe organ

  • florin11bv, YOU are the one who is wrong. That is clearly St. Bavo in Haarlem. It is the most famous organ case in the world, and the wooden vaults of the nave are unmistakeable. The organ in Martinikerk Groningen is much less tall and impressive and the church is of hall-type, without clerestory..

  • Dear Rankett,

I am not wrong. Please read more carefully my previous comment and try to find the video i suggested. If you understand german language listen VERY carefull Herr Ahrend. and you will see how wright am i in my previous words.

Surely what we see here is the Bavonkerk organ in Haarlem, but the ONLY original 32 f. original Schnitger pipes are in Martinikerk Groningen - this was my message.

    Respect,

    Florin.

  • Florin, sorry I misunderstood your point. I thought you were correcting the identity of the organ in the video. My apologies.

  • I think you are thinking of the Martinikerk in Groningen. Good you caught your mistake, kudo.

  • Man, I guess I should have read ALL the comments before I put this in. Sorry, LOL

  • Schmücke dich o liebe Seele

  • What Bach piece is it? Very beatyfull!

  • Schmucke Dich

  • It is a church Bavokerk Haarlem Netherlands.

  • as quiet as a church

  • WOW I can't believe that Bavokerk would have room for that beast.

  • One of the best pipe organs in Europe!

  • This Bach piece is Schmucke dich o liebe seele, from the 18 Leipzig chorals

  • This must be one of the most visually impressive pipe organs in the world! Thanks for sharing this view of it.

  • What Bach piece is it?

  • It is indeed a great organ. I heard Thoms Trotter there a few years ago on their free Tuesday nights. Wow!! that is both organ and organist!

  • Do you know who is playing? I love this organ!
