You are a retard!!! Why would you deface our nations captiol with those retarded sculptures. We dont need to put up sculptures to remind us of what we have done. I agree that we need new energy sources but dumb statues wont help. How about we take the money we would spen on your sculptures and work on our energy problems and then take the rest and get you on some meds!
This is a very educational piece, and a good right brain/left brain acomplishment. As for the proposal of building and placing the statues, I'd like to start with NOVA M Television.
Had I known you were going to be in the video, I would have watched it sooner.
The hand incident was dramatized in the movie Fat Man and Little Boy, and still gives me chills, seeing the two uranium sphere halves glowing blue while someone yells "critical!"
I think it would work better at MOMA. The only reason I say that is because the neo-cons are simply too stupid to understand the nature of what they represent.
I like these ideas. Don't put a statue of that bomb cake at the Pentagon though. The folks who work there won't get it - they'll take it to be us wanting to set a large bomb off in the middle of their building, blowing it to Kingdom Come. Or maybe Baghdad. Whichever is closer.
Sadly, I don't think the folk who need to understand this would get it. Those folk have no art in their souls, and such statues cannot touch them.
Thanks for the heads up, Mike. This is indeed chilling. Especially after reading redravensounds' comments. I, too, once worked as a cog in the war machinery. I vow I will never do it again. For any amount of money. The proposed sculptures should make any politician think twice. But will they? I doubt it.
I'd know Mike Malloy's voice anywhere! Nothing gets an emotional response more then art, More so then reality, This is a project that needs to happen to the the point across.
I love this concept. All of the sculptures and more belong all over the grounds at the Pentagon. The ones that won't fit that area should be placed where politicians must walk by....oops I forgot: they travel UNDERGROUND and don't even see D.C. They are the MORLOCKS of H.G.Wells fame. All the more important it is to identify them with these sculptures.
This is part three of a three part post latest to earliest.
Thank you Mike for pointing me here, as very hard as it is for me to see these images. Might I suggest adding Sedan Crater and the Baneberry event venting at Area 12, (December, 1969) to the sculptures? My apologies for any typos, I'm typing through tears.
All of us who were either tiny cogs or AEC/ERDA/DOE high rollers, do not sleep well. Today we have a pResident who only knows of these devices but old movies - and who pees his pants to unleash the demon. This demon melts your flesh, destroys the genome, turns children how do survive at all, into disfigured tragic creatures. I wish to god that people could see what I have seen - and done. Now I have my "nuclear nightmares" every damn night. We knew not what we were doing.
This concept is both enlightened and nightmare producing - at least for me - as I was a tiny cog in the apparatus at the Nevada Test Site, working for EG&G Energy Measurements. Now not a night goes by that I am not heart sick for being a tiny cog in those sub-surface tests. In a way, the tragedy today is that all people know is old movies - more to follow
Sure why not. Leave it the artist to hold up the mirror so we can see what we've become. And in honor of natures atomic "mushroom", so too should the artist seed the White House grounds with spores from psychedelic mushrooms in hopes of exploding the minds of humans that they will see their potential, and the insanity of their world.. and then CHANGE IT!
It's terrific. I wish I could view the artwork on display at Emory. The concept is brilliant. Thank you, Mike Malloy, for telling me about this and for the great voice-over narration. May the force be with everyone in this project.

How about a sculpture of the Enola Gay, Bombay doors opened and an animated Tibbets saying "We Are Coming To Youuuuuu....!!"
I just wouldn't plant it in front of the pentagon...

"Hear me more plainly. I have in equal balance justly weigh'd
What wrongs our arms may do, what wrongs we suffer,

Tragic irony. Brilliant.

A stunning idea at a time when imagination seems to be lacking; except were there is a buck to be made.
"I am become death, destroyer of worlds." But, why should such a force be limited always to what can be decimated?!

I'm afraid it would be more likely to encourage nuclear energy proponents than those seeking clean energy. Interesting video, though.
