  • The way the diesels act in this episode is more twisted than how they act like in season 15. The Diesels were more sadistic back in the old seasons like season 2-7. In the newer series they are complete wussies.

  • You know, I once heard Splatter and Dodge from the magic railroad were made into Arry and Bert.

  • @redcarnotaurus Nope, there were casts made of Splodge, and the CASTS were made into Arry and Bert.

  • Shouldn't Sir Topham Hatt punish 'Arry and Bert for trying to scrap Stepney?

  • how the hell does arry and bert know stepney?

  • @tkd1501 They worked at the scapyard he escaped from

  • This was Arry and Bert's best appearance and we didn't even know Arry's name!

  • @TheHistorySoldier and Bert never spoke! We soon knew their names from the merchandise although as a kid it was hard to work out who they were as they were only seen at night time in this episode lol

  • the signal light was Amber in "Haunted Henry" and green in "Stepney Gets Lost"

  • Woah its Airy n Burt - before they were introduced!! =D

  • i`ve always wonder whats in the yellow shed at 3:19

  • 1:44 to 2:30 reminds me of haunted henry

  • damn this is epic!

  • Beware of the BR Class 7 Diesels! Hope I got that right.

  • @MrMcb1990 british class 08 shunters are what Arry and Bert are actually

  • I always thought that Arry and Bert's first episode was Middle Engine.

  • This the last amazing series of the show. 6 and 7 were pretty good, but the slide began with Magic Railroad.

  • @Alexmo555 actually, magic railroad came before seasons 6 and 7.

  • I thought the narration for this episode was terrible! I'm not necessarily a fan of "Americanizing" Thomas, but Alec Baldwin does a much better job! Especially with Sir Topham Hatt - Angelis does a terrible job!

  • 4:29

    is cool

  • (0:40) - BoCo!

  • @tomekikoledzy Where exactly do you see BoCo? All I see are a line of trucks!

  • ...Is no one going to call 'Arry and Bert on their ATTEMPTED MURDER!? Fat Controller? His driver? Anyone?

  • Could do with a little research in how railway roll-stock is being broken up in real life for believability (yes I know it is a story about talking trains with big gray face on the smokebox). The original childrens stories were written by a railroad entusiast dealing with realistic railroad related senarios. Much more fun for us rail neards, plus you would expect it would be more spooky for the kids if an engine is beeing ling-chi with a blowtourch rather than beeing picked up with the claw.

  • A couple of flaws with this episode:

    1. Surely if Stepney hadn't been expected, shouldn't the signal be red?

    2. Wouldn't a "grabber" style crane be unable to lift a railway locomotive? They're a lot heavier than the average people carrier.

    3. Shouldn't Arry & Bert be severely punished for attempted murder?

    1. The signalman was probably lazy :D

    2. It's probably a strong grabber or a really light Stepney, considering him tiny, it could be both.

    3. They were most likely punished without us knowing

  • This episode is pretty god damn scary! In fact, this entire season is scary! WTF?

  • buffer 'im, bert!

    LOL epic

  • 2:19 Was that skarloey's whistle? (or is it a horn)

  • @MamaLuigiXYZ its skarloeys' whistle

  • Was that lava to the left at 3:37?

  • This saving you from scrap is getting to be a habit LOL

  • Can anyone remember what the bluebells reference meant?

I vaguely remember it, but I haven't seen these episodes in a long time...

  • he is the bluebell engine because his line is the only line with bluebells and it is famous for that reason

  • I would thought that Arry and Bert would get punished for almost actually scraping one of the fat controllers working engines.

  • Here, Arry And Bert Have Sore Throughts

    Now, They Are Right Pillocks!

I Prefer When They Have Sore Throughts!

  • @KirbyForce1 you mean thoughts ?

  • Woah... Arry and Bert are MUCH scarier in the British version.

    *shivers*

  • Wow this is vaugley holocaust reminicant

  • THI ENGINES NOT FOR SCRAPING!

  • yeah lol

  • fatty: its a good thing i decided to visit here tonight saving you from scrap is getting a bit of a habit stepney please stop it

    lolz

  • 1:46 is the same place where henry gets spooked

  • frankly i wish this was Arry and Bert's only appearance. in season 6 onwards they become cheeky, not PURE evil :S

  • 0:08 Toby's Shed!

  • The cool thing is, is that 'Arry and Bert are practically classic characters; this episode basically followed the Season 4 mould.

  • has anyone noticed stepney has skarloey's whistle?

  • Those Skarloey branchline engines are so ugly

  • No there not show some respect

  • i got to admit arry and bert are alot more scarier in this episode they sound like a pair of thugs

  • 1. Arry & Bert Seam VERY scary in this episode, and they appear different, bringing me to my next question:

    2. Is this episode before or after T&TMR?

  • possibly after, because Splatter and Dodge's models were repainted into Arry and Bert

  • ya kidding thomas and the magic railroad wasnt even released back when this episode was broadcast

  • i think this episode was after the film

  • Nah it was two years before.

  • @Pikman01 before

  • lol saving you from scrap is getting to be a habit stepney. please stop it! lol that definitly my favourite line!

  • 'The more the merrier'. That is my favorite part.

  • yay stepney

im happy they tell the truth and the fact the bluebell railway saved him from scrap

  • Yaaaay Bluebells.
