At level 56 on my Blue mage I sub thief all the time. I never ever get hate, only when I was pulling did I get hate for a party that needed me to pull was when I got hit >.>. I was doing 500 damage and up with Sneak attack and With Ca up to 600.

if you saca death scissors, or another single hit strike, you should be doing minimum of 500, with death scissors, i've managed 1357 on a heraldic imp

if ur playing blu in exp pt as dd role imo nin is a much better sub than thf. a good blu will get hate in exp very often , and utsu will help you more then the added dmg from SA. but w.e fits ur playstyle works fine . i've even subbed whm and healed in both traditional partys and blu burns , its a very versatile job . but i've had great experiences subbing nin , and spamming the shiet outta multi-hit spells and doing a huge amount of dmg per fight + my share of tanking w/o being an mp sponge.

Do you know what SATA is?

You deal extra damage when behind the mob. (SA)

You plant hate on whoever you are behind. (TA)

So if the tank is behind the mob and you are behind the tank, you hit for massive damages and all the hate is on the tank. So you really won't get hate often if you can plant a good SATA. NIN is just the mindless subjob of choice for most jobs... Everyone chooses it.

if you're new to blu i would sugest blu/war or whm to 20 then ninja to 60 nothing beats ninja sub to 60 when you get SATA CA and Death scissors

every1 in my shell says to do /war 1-20 /nin 20-60 /thf 60+ what do u think?

Hm....

from 1 - 20 that's up to you, solo play can be done even with WHM sub, I soloed to 20 for all of my spells, then partied as BLU/WAR from 20-32, then did /THF to 70(not advised, freelance static + worm soloing helps), and /NIN upon hitting 72+

When I say not advised, I mean to sub thief below 60, the only thing you could really stack is Smite of Rage, which is...*OK* at best.

Mandibular Bite and Sickle Slash aren't bad at all when coupled with Sneak Attack.

The sub you choose for BLU 1-75 entirely depends on the setup of the party (just like every other job!).

i subbed thf all the way to 68 ish, primarily because i wanted to focus on damage from my spells, and because everyone i saw was /nin, which i think is heavily overdone (not bad, just didn't want to follow everyone else) at the moment i don't to /thf anymore, but i've discovered that soloing /dnc works quite well. aspir samba can help you get mp back faster, and you can use the waltzes to heal without using mp, healing waltz for removing silence is a nice bonus

with the right spells yes. but blue mage is restricted in that it can only junction a set amount of spells based on a points system.

usually the most useful spells take a fair chunk of points, so you have to be careful that you don't short change yourself.

Heyy nice video^^ I'm thnking about leveling BLU. I have a hume and taru i can use, im just wondering which would be a better race to use for the awesome BLU? and is /NIN really as good as /THF >.>

Race question: Tarutaru has more STR++ gear in RSE for usage, and that is a key point in spells(mostly)

Hume on the other hand has HP (for breath class spells) and more base STR, and easy to find STR alternatives...

Choice is yours on race. /THF is good from 35-71 (Death Scissors, Dimensional Death, Frenetic rip, all stack well,) /NIN is good post 72, you are going to need it because once you take shadowless hate, your terminated. (Since your not a paladin...)

Awesome video! My friend and I duo BLU, and we just hit 70; we'll be trying this at 75 for sure. From what I've seen the strategy is to have one of you as the "stunner" to keep that nasty Aero IV and Aeroga III from casting. Good stuff!
