  • great tribute!

    RIP Brian my hero!

  • He's not dead, he lives...Just listen to all the classic original Stones...He's living in that music, I tellya...

  • To Adamw122007:

Brian JOnes is the only stone who has died. He was replaced with Mick Taylor, who left in 1974, and he was in turn replaced by Ron Wood. Bill Wyman later left the group in 1993, and the band has since remained a foursome (not unlike Led Zeppelin or The Who, though the bass duties are handeled by American session bassist Daryl Jones.

  • out of curiosity are they all dead reply to this please

  • No only Brian Jones he was 27 in 1969

[He was the 1st leader named the band got there 1st gigs] and RIP great sidemen on piano's Ian Stewart[Was a Stone before Mick & Keith] also he is the Stu in Led Zepplelins boogie with Stu song. others on keys were Nicky Hopkins, and Billy Preston these cats added to the Stones sound live and instudio.

  • ok thanks

  • I've heard it in the gimme shelter movie and i really liked it. And now a have it, Thank u so much!!!!!

  • No Thank you it's all my pleasure. One of my fave songs I had to learn. There are good you tube versions from the Stones from 69/72

  • Cool vid it's amazing!!! i love it

can u tell me which song is this?

  • Hello thanks for the comment. The song is a Robert Johnson blues called Love in vain recorded in 1936 a great version. 1969 the Stones reworked it into the version I copied.

the live version from 1969 LP Get your ya ya's out. but it was released on the Let it bleed LP. hope that helps

  • Great minds think alike!!

  • so is this jimy playing this piece of mucic then ?

  • Yes.

  • that back music for the video is briiilll ! i love it , just wonner listen to it forever , sounds nowt like robert johnsons version tho .

  • I had to learn it as soon as I got good enough to figure it out, It's the Stones version from 1969

Get your ya ya's out. I just tried to copied the guitars and improv jam for the bass and organ,

    drum machine.

  • It is the Stones 1969 version. Robert copied another song from before he recorded. It's very close and I don't wanna give false truths about the name but Yazoo put out an LP the roots of Robert Johnson. Good one. They sped R.J 's records up.

  • only the good die young ! or should i say the only god died young ! bless you brian. wish i could have met you , love your music and style so so much x x

  • I agree 1000% Julie please enjoy more of the ReBeat channel.

  • Well done.

  • Thanks for this ReBeat. Sounds just like the boys and a nice video, too! Well done!

  • Thank ReBeat....this sounds great and the video is cool, too. Well done! Sounds just like the boys...

  • Great tribute. Thanks for sharing it with me.

  • Very nice! Thanks for looking me up again.

  • GREAT and like to say THANK YOU

  • Nicely done ReBeat! Loving the slide guitar!!

  • Thank you for your kind words. It's just note for note Mick Taylor and Keef at their best, Good place to learn from then put your own love and feeling into it. Find out where they got it. You can bet Keith knew every Chucky Berry Riff he liked. And Chuck knew every T- Bone Walker riff he liked, So go note for note until your thing comes. It's a proven recipe. You can never ever be the original so don't worry Your thing is in you. They just help bring it out in ways you never imagined.

  • Congratulations ReBeat. Great work and very wyse words too. You show a deep knowledge of how music performance should be percieved by all of us. Hope to hear you more here in youtube.

  • Thanks for the comment new tributes and CD's are in the works, and I play in Vancouver BC, Canada.

  • Hey ReBeat, well done! Love of your version of this song, the organ is a nice touch, I wonder why the Stones didn't do it like that!

p.s. very cool early Stones tribute, do you have any cd's available & where do you play?
