@XxPhillyxOrangexX I love Hextall but i can think of a bunch who were actually better...some not as well known, but better... roy, brodeur, sawchuk, hasek, hainsworth, esposito, plante, dryden, hall, parent, off the top of my head but there r more id say hes 15-20 range
@dolphinsneu at the bottom of a closet in my 80's flyer archives, yes. however, far better than that is the entire game(on vhs cassette) that i still have from my childhood.(i'm 34, been a flyer since 1985). i've got about 20 tapes with 40 games from 86-93. my lazy ass will eventually get those transfered to dvd. when i do, i'll try to post every game i've got. i'd have to watch this one again, but if memory serves, tocchet & eklund had two each.
"they really gave you a lot of chances to shoot in this series" - said Bill Clement to a GOALTENDER. Only Hextall could receive that comment and not laugh. Hextall is the gnarliest dude ever.
ROn Hextall - let's sum it up - IMHO (in my honest opinion) mentally retarded, bald, monkey-headed loser - never won a thing - worthless POS, never accomlished anything - - f'ing LOSER! Nice job in LA POS loser! Only wish Chelios had beaten the crap out of the coward puke maggot loser - nice job a-hole coward bald loser! retarded son too???
Hextall was the man. love what he said about gettin the puck to watch the D's back. the league should look at that comment, get rid of the trapezoid, let goalies be fair game if they leave the crease and then they can lose the bullshit checking from behind calls so players can hit against the boards when other players have the puck instead of having their hands tied by guys who face their backs to them and dive into the boards to get the call. its ruining the game and taking clean hits away.
I was sitting about 20 rows up on the receiving end of that goal at the Cap Centre..man that was very painful...I was sitting dead center of the goal...
fk2 no its jim jackson now. they look the same though. he is on nhl08 though i think he moved on to versus or something like that. and rowerunner losers don't win conn smythes or Vezinas do they?
Hexie - why are thw F'ers celebrating a loser that won NOTHING? Retiring his number?? Any other franchise only celebrates winners, but Philadelphia nd the F'ers and their fans love losers as that is all they have, that is all they are...
the First NHL goalie to be credited with a goal was Billy Smith of the New York Islanders, he didn't score it in any way though, he was simply the last player on the opposing team to touch the puck. The goal was technically scored by a guy from the Colorado Avalanche who messed up a pass with an empty net.

Does anyone know which ice hockey goalie scored the first? In a pro game of course, including international tournaments.
