  • well yes got run over people to and what happen to part where Tracy fires gun at screen where when fire three bullets would show the villians....oh and they did make a Dick Tracy movie with Ned beatty remember....bomb was i believe...Just need a new verison now i suprise no one has done one yet

  • I know the bit you mean - I always thought it was part of this opening, but it was actually an alternate version. The version where he fires his gun begins with the image of the police car zooming round the corner towards the screen (shown at 10 secs on this version) and not the bird's eye view of the street. I believe this version played theme used at the end rather than the regular opening tune heard here. This opening was up here around a year ago - if I find it I'll let you know!

  • That was the peculiar thing about these cartoons -- Dick Tracy didn't do dick! All the field work was done by his subordinates: Joe Jitsu, Hemlock Holmes, and Go-Go Gomez.

    Of course, today those characters are about as politically correct as a blackface minstrel show.
