discharge does 120 damage by an ampharos to a dragonite because dragon type is resistant to electric, so it only gets 40 extra pts from STAB. power gem does 70 x 2, or 140. if discharge would have ended the battle quicker, idk, because it hits both dragonites, but if you focus on one pkmn, you can widdle their team down to one trainer by killing the other trainer's pkmn first, fYi, ryuutakesh.

FYI: Dragonite is part flying type. Discharge would have ended the battle quicker.
