@RogueScholarBlue sorry but i am a dragon age fan too. but da2 was way too dumb down because of consoles, i stopped re-playing after i completed it once. Never got the dlcs too.

TBH, i had forgotten the name of the dead city too, called Kirkwall. At least dead city after i laid my hands on witcher2 which after seeing a crappy settlement call Floatsam, had more life in it than Kirkwall.

On the plus side, redemption is a fun series to watch only if Felicia Day is in it :p

@iGhost I got Dragon Age 1, completed it numerous times, saw dragon age 2... saw no customisation available, a lot of bad game play trailers and basically nothing in comparison to the first, its kinda sad really.. but i agree the series is brilliant because of FD :P

@Zathaghil consoles didn't dumb down the games the people who made the games dumbed them down. Sure consoles can't run as good but they don't need to be upgraded as often as PCs to even be able to do basic gaming. Also using a mouse and keyboard is seems hard and its a pain to deal with.

Kirkwall? Not even important... Only if You got screwed into buying that copout DA2 bullshit where they slaughtered pc gaming and the lore from the original game...

Consoles are the bane of good games it seems (Midair spawning of wave after wave of enemies? ffs pc games left that behind 15 years ago, and now get it back 'cause of sucky consoles... *sigh*)

I sincerely hope DA 3 won't follow DA2's footprints.... But go ahead from DA:O both gamstyle wise and lore/story wise...

Other than that I agree. Kirkwall is a stain. Bioware had their chance but they screwed up. They need to use a different engine and improve and polish up the combat system AND rpg elements.

Consoles had EVRYTHING to do with it! Since DA:O was too hard to port to console, they made DA2 more consolefriendly! (And ofc noone ever admits it, it pushes pc gamers away if they do, understandably so since consolification sucks)

And mmo's don't have waves of enemies spawning IN MID AIR wave after wave unless they Are just as sucky as DA2! Or it's enemies that are "gated in" However in DA 2 no magic brings them, no mage gates them they just spawn in mid air anyway!

@Zathaghil no they just did a shitty job optimising it. There are way better looking and running games on consoles than Origins anyway. It doesn't matter where the fuck they spawn, they appear out of thin air anyway, they are just adds that come in waves or rather after a specific % of Boss hp has been depleted. Why did they do it? Because the combat system is too OP and thus all they can do is lazily overwhelm the player with enemies. That's the reason: not enough time= lazy sequal

@dessan18 I agree. Consoles had nothing to do with the fact they lazily slapped a sequel together. Everyone received the SAME GAME. No, they just need to make it like DA1 again, but with shinier graphics and a different storyline, of course. DA1 was awesome. DA2, not so much.

@DrFactorist it would be better if they make a sequel with DA1 gamestyle with A DA2 graphics and then your grey warden or the orlais grey warden if yours had died meet up with hawk as that is what i think happens when hawk dissapears. then the grey warden travels to weisshaupt fortress to meet with the first warden then they talk a lil bit about something you go then to starkhaven to help the prince in DA2 reclaim his city obviously the quinari are attacking fereldan btw you play as the warden.
