note to future film camera users: 120 film can be unloaded out in the open, at least in subdued light (meaning not in direct sunlight if it's a very sunny day...maybe indoors or using your body to shield the light)... it's just the 35 mm film that needs to be done in complete darkness. PS: That shot of your cousin is nice!
As far as im concern, the new batch of holga is design to eliminate light leaks. You dont have to tape it. Even if you tape it, the way you stick it doesnt really seal lights from coming in. Also, with the 120 film you do not need to load in a dark room. A subdued light is just enough. Then again, light leaks isnt all that bad, it can add something to your pictures.
@OurMindBodyNSoul I don't know if it's just my particular type of holga, but when I use color film, I get blue streaks all over my pictures because my camera is blue. And my friend with a pink holga gets pink streaks. I guess it's different with the colored ones. And I don't remember if I said I load the film in the dark, but if I did, I meant that I unload it in the dark! I load it in light
@ashleeLOVESmuse I guess you were right. I have a black one and i rarely get any light leaks. Maybe the coloured one isnt as protective as it is.Getting streaks of colour is kinda cool tho'. Oh yeah, sorry bout the loading part - i meant to say that you can load and unload in light coz the 120 already have the paper backing unlike the 35 ones ( if u have the adapter that is) . But then again it's all personal preference. Happy snapping!
@ashleeLOVESmuse the left compartment where the film is loaded and the right compartment aren't black on the inside... maybe in intense sunlight light is breaking through the plastic and exposing it slightly as its being wound on and off the mask... You could try painting the blue parts of the inside of the camera matte black.
hahaha thing a magig.

You should do the Nikon....so that I compare it to mine. lol....
The holga seems cool. That double picture you took, the effect is pretty cool as well. Not bad for a nice cheap camera.
