@newFranzFerencLiszt This CD was recorded in 1988, on Hyperion. I don't have the disc, but I must buy it, her playing is utterly gorgeous. I'm gonna upload Tamás Vásáry's recording of this nocturne, btw, as well as several others, since he's one of my very favourite Chopin interpreters and plays (among others) this Nocturne fabulously. I hope you'll like it! :D
I dont understand why this Nocturne sounds so special to me. I see anguish and solitude. I just would change a little moment at this incredible interpretation: the seconds within 6:00 and 6:06 should 'talk' with more pain. The B note (6:05) followed by its D F# F# and G# are the saddest moment of this music. I would play it slowly. Anyway... this recording is the best I've listened of all among op48 n2 of Youtube.
Oh... This is the most beautiful thing I've heard all month! This one is soo hard though. I've played the crazy one in the same opus, in c minor, but this one is so much harder, the musiclaity. Oh... I love Livia Rev!!
I play many of the Chopin Nocturnes, but for some reason, as much as I love this one in F# minor, its underlying difficulties scare me. It's a lot harder than it sounds (to play well, anyway...and if you can't play it right, why bother?).
still the best performance I know

Have anyone heard Rubinstein's version here in Youtube?, also try Gulsin Onay's version, both of the same caliber of madam Livia Rev.
