NEVER choose a Knight to do Arena. Your chances of getting a Myrmidon with a Silver Sword are waaay too high.
Unless you somehow get a Defense Beefed Knight you'd best steer clear and let him take the brunt of the fighting on the next Chapters while taking advantage of the Arena with most the other units.

Before you rant about what unit is better like last time, listen: First of all, Mr. Know-it-all, Wil wasn't the only unit I Arena abused, it was also the units I sent to the chapter (including Rebecca), Second, My Wil is stronger than my Rebecca, Third, I don't care if Wil's stats are shit compared to Rebecca, it's called preference. @LittleAl016 Archers are utility tanks. For those who wish to force lower leveled units to level up Archer/Snipers are durable enough to take/dodge hits while not instantly killing everything in their path... which generally happens with all my units since I basically use 2-4 units per chapter... They have their uses even if they lack all purpose killing power. (Rebecca and Wil have fire/wind supports, which makes them useful in themselves...)
@shoutenry Personal experience means nothing to how good a unit is. Just because one person has certain experiences with certain characters, that doesn't mean everyone will have that same experience. Archers in general are bad due to their base stats including speed (they don't double right away) and defense (which is what they need since they can't counter), and the fact they're locked to bows and therefore only get player phase action and cannot counter close range attacks.
@LittleAl016 In general you get FE7 archers so early that base stats are completely reliant on how well you're able to utilize a particular unit. If you're half decent you can get significant increases to attack, crit and acc/evade with both archers because of how early you get them (i.e. supports). I purposefully state the the utility of archers is their LACK of Ike-esque lololol Imma keel everythingness. Your little tirade about how personal experience is irrelevant is thoroughly ironic.
@shoutenry Supports aren't likely to happen in FE7 save for Lyn/Florina C and Eliwood/Hector C if you're going for the lowest turncounts possible. And again, they can't get "significant" boosts to attack/acc/crit/evade if they're constantly locked to player phase at 2-range. In fact, all archers in general do is slow your team down unless if they're someone like Jamuka, Bridget, Faval, Klein, Innes, FE10!Shinon, or FE12!Ryan. Asello and Igrene too, if only to a lesser extent.

I kind of infer that I'm not going for a speed run when I talk about archers "tanking" LOL Also, you can get A class supports for Rebecca VERY easily, seeing as her most useful supports are there early on. TBH I have gotten A support between Reb/Eli/Dart on Hector hard and gotten an A rank in turn count... It just boils down to how good you are at having fun at FE7!

There's nothing wrong with liking certain units, but claiming said units to be good when they've been proven that they're (clearly) not good at all will lead to arguments such as this.

Putting down an entire class of units just makes me facepalm. Serenes has no real way to empirically calculate character worth other than "the character's an inefficient use of EXP". Character worth is completely inane anyways, you can beat any FE solo'ing with nearly any character or any combination, it just takes creativity and a fun outlook!

Seriously, the lowest turn counts possible is the main criteria, with their tier lists. Especially for hard difficulties.
actually when u get the chance to use an arena get all ur weak units and super train them (or arena abuse as most people call it).Train them all to lvl 20 (so u dont have to do it later) when the time comes and u get their class evolution item, class them up and there ya go!
He's not bad, but Kent, Sain and Lowen have much more potential. Have Hector or Oswin block that area, with backup of course. I actually did it with Lyn once, but she was Level 20. Another opinion, but shouldn't you use Bartre, not Dorcas?

And if it's any consolation I didn't HAVE to use them, in fact I almost didn't. I know how to arena abuse well enough that I avoided most of the "Was going to kill me" battles without the need for savestates. I used them so I could get back to LPing faster...
Currently I'm on the same chapter in Hector's story, abusing arena as you are. It just happened so that I didn't have any money to go to the arena. Funny. Had to sell some stuff...
The Arena fights go in phases as they would be in world map. The fight can only stop between these phases, and I noticed pressing B anytime before that works.
The price generally works the way you said, but I noticed I got axeguys with higher price for my swordusers.
