Picked up Desecration smile and I loved it, so thought there was a good chance I would like Stadium Arcadium. So I bought it..DOHH!! WRONG!!

10% of what the ChiliP's released was great stuff but that is less than 2 albums worth of songs. 2 albums like, oh i don't know...Nevermind & In Utero.

The rest of the ChiliP stuff was just gimmicky like "Give it a way" which came from that awful era when white surburban dudes turned their baseball caps around the wrong way and started rapping. Grrrrr!

@FabDrummer91 I really don't agree with you and your arguments. Kurt has this amazing deep voice that nobody has been able to match till this day. Krist was a underated bass player and grohl even said a couple of times that they wanted to keep the drum part simple. Kurt is also singing while playing guitar, so that could effect the things he plays, but still he made it to #12 in the list of best guitar players according to the rolling stone. And don't forget Nirvana was doing something new.

@FabDrummer91 kurt was playing drums since he was 5 and guitar since he was, i think, 9. nirvana created an entire new genre of music. rhcp didn't (this doesn't make rhcp a bad band, just nirvana better). kurt's voice was, when he was around, completely individual. then, no-one else sang at all like that. the rhcp vocalist seems reasonably original, but not on the same scale as kurt. i guess the main difference is nirvana started a huge movement, and without grunge rhcp wouldnt be as it is now

@ravenclaweagles Actually Nirvana didn't invent a new genre, they just took grunge into mainstream. RHCP was 1 of the first bands who mixed hiphop vocals with rock/funk. RHCP has, up to now, a whole different sound. Nirvana has as well, because of Cobain, but they never created a real new style of music. You just can't compare them. Nirvana was only bigger because they were a hype and the voice of a generation, Generation X. Sex Pistols were a hype as well, cause they said what the youth wanted.
