That thing has potential, man. Ditch the flutterby-valve carburetor, get ya a piston slide carb run you a straight pipe, Jet and adjust accordingly for tighter response. Oh, and id certainly pull the motor and the crank case cover, pull that governor out of the machine you'll achieve a smoother-lower idle as well as a wider range toward the topend. Dont over rotate the machine too much, you could turn the flywheel into a grenade, definitly keep the airflo cover on lol Nice build!!

@MeorShukri I paid $40 for the engine (used), $50 for the clutch, and about $50 for the rest of the drivetrain components. I got the BMX and steel tubing for free and didn't have to pay for welding rods or gas for the welder :-D

I think you got wrong gearing :D back gear should be bigger... but it is bike, hard to find bigger gears..

@LosHihhuli Yeah, the gearing was a bit off. There were bigger sprockets for sale at the farm-equipment store so I could have gotten a bigger one (it's just a standard #40 chain). Now it has a smaller back tire so that helps.

it doesn't have electric start and the ignition on all small engines is magneto-based which doesn't need a battery. Next time you're at Home Depot or Walmart, take a look at the lawnmowers. They don't have batteries, either.

i just welded the #40 sprocket to the original bike sprocket. But now the back hub is broken so maybe that wasn't such a great idea. I'm working on a solid steel hub for it, though.

the tires were almost bald and had serious sidewall cracks so they really wouldn't have been safe at 50 km/h. The bike it taken apart for some repairs and upgrades (the freewheel hub broke) and, seeing as I gave it to my little brother, I don't know when it will be ready.
