I've seen Desiree's other earlier videos of cover songs and I have to say that she is definitely growing and trying to shape her own destinctive sound. Like I said on another video page ignore the Haters and Nay sayers! Unfortunately, on YouTube it's almost impossible not to find negative remarks, it's usually from immature or jealous people. Keep up the great work and the Best of Luck to you Desiree!

Whomever did the mix for her doesn't have a clue. The mix is sorely in need of compression and proper vocal signal soft-gating. (I mixed for live shows in a former life.)

And that amp--ugh! (That hollow sound you hear is likely distortion and standing waves from poor cabinet/driver matching.)

Otherwise her technique is admirable. (It would also if she could build up more confidence asap--it would help her to not get so nervous in front of an audience. I'm sure she'll grow out of it.)

She sings just fine. That dry TV studio mic is not a good vocal mic, as well as not being EQ'd to her voice. A good recording engineer could take care of that. So, stop the crap about her singing. If you don't know a good sounding mic from a bad one, you're just showing your ignorance when you comment like that.

That's a great original song, too. Very impressive. She's got some serious chops in those fingers. Check out her other videos, like the Hendrix songs. And the Jackson Immortal tour? WOW!

I don't think many of us would sound good singing a rock song like this with no effects on the mic - no delay, reverb, or anything else it appears. She may not be a great singer, but in the studio with someone at the console who knows what they're doing, I bet she would sound much better.

Someone needs to clue Desiree in on the news that she just doesn't have a singing voice, I have heard her sing on other occasions and she is partly tone deaf,she is off key half the time. Her dad is pushing her career and he needs to smarten up and stop embarrassing his daughter.

[LMAO] Otherwise, I agree that she should have maybe done the same song acoustically, as rock in this venue ain't that great. Overdriven mikes are expected set up like this. But BFD... she's great, and definitely a prodigy. If you've seen some of her earlier stuff, you can't dispute she's amazingly talented.

I have a 3 year old daughter and gave her a real guitar for Christmas. Everyone thinks I'm crazy but she's been playing 4/4 on drums since she was 2 1/2. I don't know if she can do what Desiree is doing, but I want her to be happy, have fun and have every opportunity no matter what she does in life.
