Nice doubleheader..I saw them in San Francisco on there first tour almost by accident...was i surprised...kelly was on fire that night and my bro knew the club manager so we got to meet them all afterwards....all 4 just as nice as they could be.....i will never forget that night

i lived 5 mins walk away from the royal theater Nottingham , unfortunatly i was to skint and mother wouldnt let me go to see motorhead and girl school , but the following year i saw girlschool at Carlton Forum , Kelly broke her "G" string hahahaha

I promoted the gig at Carlton Forum! I also filmed a video of the show in B&W but the sound was so awful I wiped the tape. Pity really as it would probably have been worth keeping inspite of the audio.

I was there too. The thing I remember most was a) the afternoon start time and b) all the chairs flying across the rows during Motorhead's set. Great stuff.

I've seen both bands recently - Motorhead on their Kiss of Death tour. Still excellent. With great respect to the late, great Kelly Johnson Girlschool are sounding better than ever.

Thancks for your comments! Much appreciated! This was the only gig from the series which I saw live - it was amazing. TV at the time was only broadcast in mono so this series was broadcast simultaneouesly in stereo on local radio stations.
