  • by far the best version I have ever heard

  • My God this is amazing!

  • ...holy shit

  • @nekofrog : which bass do you used for recording the intro?

  • How is that a fun fact A1C Jones?

  • 2:40 gave me a giant boner 0__0

  • cool the end part with the omen part

  • You should try doing a remix of Daft Punk's harder faster stronger

  • Nm, just read the description. This shit rocks. Especially considering what you are working with.

  • pod x3? superior drummer?

  • I didn't know that you actually played guitar on these remixes. That makes it that much more impressive, as I play myself. Regardless, great song :)

  • sick

  • Too be honest, the guitars sounded a bit messy and should have been a bit tighter, I don't know if that's due to the layering of guitars or that you've tuned your guitar looooooooooow and they where a tad bit too scooped, but other than that, this was superb.

  • There are quite a few jevova remixs out there but none are done to perfection, even the black mages one. This. Song. IS PERFECT! All the right parts to the right instruments, great sound, very headbangable, full emotion (second half that is) and of course some grade A shredding.

    Well Done!

  • i have loved this video for a very long time now. but i only recently played FF7 and i didnt link the 2 up until I got to the Jenova Birth battle on the boat and this music started playing. It was so fucking cool..

  • this song defines the phrase "fucking epic".

  • *o*

    Woah!

I didn't expect such awesome music.

  • look man i'd give you seven stars if possible but youtube sucks

  • crazily good

  • good work neko

  • This is really awesome, thumbs up

  • Personally, this is the best remix ever. If i ever hear anything better than this it would have to be the most epic piece of music i will ever hear.

    10/10

  • Very nice, I really like this remix. woot~

  • has this song got the best riff in the world?

  • any possible way that i could get a tab for this? guitar pro or otherwise doesn't matter. I could learn it myself, but I just dont have the time nowadays...

  • Ahh I didn't see this on OCR cos it was under FF7 ;P I am normally not much a fan of metal remixes, and in fact avoid them normally, but this is phenomenal. Adore it, and DL'd it right away =] Needed more Xenogears in the intro tho! *spit @ ff7 xD* Still tho, great. I'll have to check out your others.

  • Xenogears was great until the last disk. Then it went all "last episode of NGE" with its ridiculous chair sitting and flashback shit.

  • you pick the best themes to do :Q,,,

  • how can u possibly get down to a Bb lol love it

  • 7 string guitar tuned half a step down. Not a big deal, on my album I've tuned as low as Ab.

  • @nekofrog oh i just wasnt thinking of 7 strings lol

  • @nekofrog my penis is huge, and smiles

  • @skillet000red

also works by puttin really thick strings on a normal 6 string guitar ,but 7 string is cooler :D

  • love the whole thing but 2:31 and onward is what really blows me away.

this song is gonna make me deaf. it's so good turned up super loud.

  • Subscribed :D Loving this remix.

  • are you an in flames fan?

coz your "original" riff sounds very in flames inspired.

    awesome work

    Horns Up

  • I second that, thats the first band I thought of listening to the break.

    Awesome work man.

  • More of a Mercenary fan for my melodic death fix.

  • Xenogears is the best RPG ever made. FACT.

FF7 was a bit overrated in my opinion. The only reason it garnered so much popularity was due to the fact that it was a novel 3d concept.

  • And what about Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Legend of Dragoon? =(

  • Legend of Dragoon is the greatest! I love that game and still own it. I beat that game soo long ago

  • I'm sorry that's not a fact. Only a opinion. You can tout it all you want. But it's NOT a fact.

  • I do agree, But If it wasnt for FF7, We woudnt have many great RPG Games, FF7 Is Beast, I still play it on my PS3. =D

  • Not to sound like a troll, but without all the forerunners to FF7 there is no FF7, also FF7 isn't really too great, great but overrated.

  • @bobombom Chrono Trigggggggggggggeer

  • @bobombom well i must dissagree with you and agree at the same time. Xenogears was amazing, but I prefer final fantasy. Also that is an opinion, not a fact.

  • @bobombom While I agree that FF7 is slightly overrated, it being 3D is not the only reason people like it so much. It's a very good game. That being said, I do believe Xenogears is better as well. However, there are a few RPGs I rank up there with Xenogears.

  • @weglarz Maybe Xenosaga I II and III

But they never really captured the true Xenogears feel.... they worked well as Back Story to Deus, but I want to see a direct sequel to Xenogears!!

Xenogears had it all, characters you could relate to, awesome gear designs, wicked sound, amazing story and story that makes you want to find out more. The art style, the whole direction of the game was awesome.

They took all that was good about Chrono Trigger. just without time travel

  • love it well done

  • The MP3 download link no longer works. Hey, I'm working on a small flash portfolio site. Can I use this song as background music?

  • :O i got no words left :D

Could I ask you how did you register the guitar tracks?

    Thx!!

  • I apologize, I don't understand the question. What do you mean by register?

  • Sorry I'm not english! I meant, how did you record?

I want to know if you used a mega professional studio with 4'500 cables around your room or... simple connecting your guitar to your pc :D

  • Just me in my room with my computer, my guitar, and my Line 6 PodXT Live.

Along with a lot of other VST plugins.

  • Well but your recording is really nice... when i plug my guitar to the pc it records a fucking shitty sound that makes me beat my computer xD

    Thx

  • Awesome work. Keep em coming, we'll keep listening ;)

  • 3:24 to 4:18 is such an epic part. Being a huge metal fan myself, I can't help but love the edge u give to your remixes. You deserve more than 1000 something views, these remixes have less views than some crappy ones other people have made. Anyway, I was wondering if u still do remixes, if there's any plans to do more? Cuz these are amazing!

  • Yep, still working on remixes.

Have a few in the nearly-finished pipeline (Lufia 1&2, Donkey Kong Country 2 death metal remix with vocals), as well as a few others I can't talk about yet.

  • THIS SONG SUCKS MY BALLSACKS...

    Just kidding. Pretty sweet dude.

  • Damn that was a great remix 5/5

Makes me want to replay FF7 for like the 100th time now <_<

  • awesome song...i give it 5/5

  • Drums are really good, I play drums for a while now and it's awesome...love the foot work in all the parts...gotta play some of these remixes you made...very good stuff, very creative! 5 stars as well! :)

  • These drums are pretty crap, you should have let Tensei do them for ya ;)

  • My drums > Tensei's drums

    XD

  • keep on dreaming, the intro part desperately needs the st. anger blastbeat

  • Heeeeeeeeavy as fuck. You really know how to make a PODxt work for you.

  • :D

    Huge compliment coming from Seisto!

  • Great stuff, I love it.. I live FF7 and Xenogears.. I wish they both had a remake.

  • Hello there, I also make covers and songs of my own, do you mind sending me a play-by-play in PM of how you made this? Any hardware or programs, I'm extremely interested :)

I use Noteworthy Composer's Midi maker, and a music convertor to change them into more genuine sounding instruments ^^

  • It's pretty simple, I load up my recording software (Steinberg Nuendo), turn on my effects processor (PodXT Live), hit the record button, and start playing guitar.

For things other than guitar, I sequence them in the MIDI notation editor that nuendo has, load the VST that corresponds, and then voila. Done.

Except it takes a few months to record everything and come up with the inspiration/write it.

  • Awesome dude, I'm trying to do the same, I think I got all the software I need, Sonar, battery 3 drums, Trilogy bass, EWQL gold too,

and a bunch of Waves and TC works stuff.

What kind of hardware are you using?

  • All I use hardware wise is my guitar and a PodXT Live. I'll probably retire the XT Live soon, because it's getting a bit worn (I've had it for a long time), and get a TonePort in its place.

  • Great stuff.

Did you go to school for AE or are you a self taught recording artist?

  • Never went to school, entirely self-taught.
